1/0 CCA vs 4 OFC

Recommended Posts

KnuKonceptz has a 1/0 CCA amp kit for 60$. Their 4 gauge OFC kit is 52$. I know pure copper is better than clad, but is 1/0 clad better than 4 gauge pure copper?

to answer ur original question, yes 1/0 CCA is definitely better than 4awg ofc.

CCA takes a hit on electrical conductivity but not by 50% or more.

Buy 1/0 copper. Don't waste your money on CCA.

CCA works just fine. Sure OFC might be better, but you don't need it in EVERY application.

CCA isn't fine, it is a marketing gimmick.... If it wasn't a gimmick, they wouldn't clad the aluminum with copper and price it appropriately as aluminum cable....
