Well, looks like its time for me to start doing this rebuild instead of constantly talking about it. I know Steve will be happy, I dont have any pictures or have actually started it yet but Im about to pick up my Bravox Components and a spool of XP flex 0 gauge so thats the starting point. Heres a little outline of my current setup and what will be done after I rebuild.

Current: 18" BTL N2 (5.5cuft box, 32hz tune)
Infinity Reference Component Speakers
American Bass VFL 100.1 Amplifier
Phoenix Gold Titanium 500.4 Amplifier
4 gauge Wire
Capacitor (fail)

NEW: New ported box, 6.75 cuft, tuned to 32hz and will ported into the cabin. (18" BTL N2)
Bravox CS50k Component Speakers
Amp Rack (Make everything look purty)
Installing Kinetik HC1400 (Bye bye Capacitor!)
Full run of 0 gauge and BIG 3 upgrade

Tuned in bro... Glad to hear you're finally going to be picking up those components that have been waiting patiently for you for a long time now, lol. I take it you got your speaker cutting out problem fixed? I also really can't wait to see how the new enclosure turns out!

My Review of an SSA DCON 12" subwoofer

Aaron Clinton wrote: "The XCON has it's own sound. The ICON is very full and smooth with a heavy low end. Lot's of grins from daily listening. The XCON on the other hand, is a little lighter on it's feet, little more pin point accuracy with collapse the chest pressure. Think of it in terms of heavy weaponry, the ICON being the bomb that is dropped far away and hits you with the shockwave, and the XCON is the guided missile to the chrome dome."

There is a start.  What don't you like about like about the passive results?

ie, it is always better to go about something relatively as it is much easier to define how to deal with the concern.  Exactly why I tell everyone to not jump in head first and buy what you think is your final set of drivers right away.  EVERY install you will learn something and want something to change.  This is the audio disease that we all have otherwise we wouldn't be here which means research to find the "best" solution right away will never lead you there.  Better to invest in things you can resell, but are improving the concerns you have right now than to go straight to the holy grail since like in real life it doesn't exist.

Yeah, I decided I would post up a topic, kind of motivate me in a way to get it started. Ill more than likely be buying my XP wire on Friday, then I will be going to pick it up whenever it gets delivered, which shouldn't be long considering Im getting it delivered within NY.
