This is where I stopped for the day. I finally got a table saw and cutting wood is so nice now.
I am going a bit smaller all the way around. Don't need that much bass anymore, but rather a more refined bass. I hope on both anyway.
Nice enclosure so far , specs on old box vs new box.
Thanks, I will post the specs of this box tomorrow.
New box specs
18.75" high + .75" double baffle
4.51 cubes before displacment
4.15 cubes after displacment (sub & bracing)
70sq" of port tuned @ 30 hz with a vent match of .09
I have been kicking around some box designs and I have a certain foot print I want to keep. This is where I currently stand. Evil 15 D2 Box will be 40"x21.5"x22.5" . Port is going to be 6"x20"x42" at just under 33hz with a total of 120" of port.Vent match is .034, 37.906ft/sec. My plan is to take my xcon box and cut it down and go from there. More to come....

Side by side shot. The only difference I can tell at this point is I lost a little out put, but it seems to hit harder.
Hope to start the amps racks next week.
At some point this build will get finished but till then she just reach a milestone.
So I decided the old girl needed a little lift. So I put Toyota FJ coils in the rear and raised the Bilstein's up one notch. She looks pretty freshened up and is more responsive, so that is a good thing because that means there is no more coil sag.
New side window swag.
As she sat before the fun and M5 sent me thin snow, but that was not going to stop me.
4runner coil left and FJ coil right
After and yes I did this in the snow because it was only to be a dusting not 5 inchs!
All around I should have gained an inch in height and with stiffer springs in the rear you can not tell it is full of audio equipment and batteries.
Next up when it get nicer, summer tires and rims!
Once it gets nice out I will measure to see how much height I gained.
