Nice car
stock system? HORRIBLE. Probably the worst stock system i've heard.
I've decided to surprise him with a setup, but im tryin' to do this on a super super strict budget.
Here's what im looking at
HU - Used pioneer deh p60mp(70 shipped)
Speakers - ID ctx65cs $125, Incriminator comps $119, & cadence cwm6kit $65.99.
Amp - toss up between 2 us acoustic amps from audioclinic on ebay $140-160 OR a ppi sedona 5 channel $155
Sub - dcon 10 $119, or phoenix gold rsd 10 $50, 3 jbl gto 8s $150
Yay? Nay? Any deals out there that i should look out for?

Please read my posts with care. I do not pull punches, but state exactly what is on my mind. My goal is to make you think, make you try harder and to improve yourself AND this forum. This doesn't mean that I don't like you, am being aggressive towards you, or have any other hidden meaning. Instead look at it as me trying to make you better. In no way at all should your butt be hurt by my posts. If so, read it differently. You agreed to taking criticism when you joined, doesn't mean that you have to choose to take it personally. The more effort you put into your threads and posts, the more I will in return. What you get out of it is up to you.

I was. Super proud I didn't shit my pants. I was sure it was going to happen.
We sit on the same bench. Your "asshole" just makes me curious.

It's erm...like notched...around the mounting flange and if he has 6.5" stocks you might have to cut metal. Just a heads up.
EDIT: I can take pics if you need.

unfortuneately eD made the bus, so it sounded horrible, made no power and the "protect engine" light came on before it left the parking lot and wouldn't go away, and the eD tires wouldn't stick to the road for nothin'
Come on now - this isn't the time to be critical. This weekend was their annual meet in Iowa. Instead of the usual heavy drinking and good times, ED supplied a bus and hauled everybody over to Cedar Rapids to help with flood relief. That's not the kind of thing you see every day and it speaks very well for ED and the car audio community as a whole - except that I made it up.

We have 5 sets of the CWM6kits in our demo truck...work great and had zero issues with fitment. However the depth could be an issue if you do not have much clearance.
The bright side is they are cheap and work amazingly well.
