I know it depends on the vehicle or whatever but , would a power acoustik bamf amp 5500d power two 15" Fi SSDs better then a hifonics brutus 1200.1d ?

i have the Hifonics amp now and it hits but now as hard as when it was hooked up to one 15.

Yes i know power acoustik is not that great.

I dont know why you keep making threads asking about shitty amps....

If buying shitty equipment just use simple math and go for it. SSD's are rated at 1000 rms each x 2 subs = 2000rms. Now find a amp rated at 2000rms, I mean it really is that simple. Nobody here is going to say either are awesome amps.

Why are you buying some of the best subs in the business and continue to buy cheap, crappy amps? I know a watt is a watt, but stick with reputable companies. Save money by buying used, but don't buy cheap garbage amps and expect great results.

I think you have been on here long enough to know that it's a shit amp and everyone will tell you to get something better.

That amps not gonna put out shit. you will keep trying to get more by tuning up gain and clip the hell out of the ssds and blow one or both. Then your out a sub and will wish you listened to us by doing it right the first time and getting a quality amp..

In my country, amplifiers are so expensive, most people think Hifonics makes high quality amplifiers, and they love Audiopipe (amps, mids & highs, subs,...) !!!!!!!

When I tell them it's not highend, they become angry...But they don't want to pay the price !

I agree 100% 100 times over. If you're going to spend the money on some top quality subs then why the hell cheap out anywhere else? I'm not saying you need to go buy something like an MTX TE4001D, but you can find something of reputable quality that will fit about any budget, and if it doesn't fit your budget save up and expand the budget. I'm married with four kids aged 14, 12, 10 and 9. It's not EASY to save money for stuff like this but it's doable, it just takes lots of patience.

Assuming you have D1 coils for a series/parallel final load of 1 ohm, there's a host of amps that will fit the bill for about the same price as that POS Power Acraptastik. (Google showed it starting from $230 and up to over $300)

If used isn't a problem these are a couple of good deals:

Rockford T1500-1BDCP $290

Audison SR 1DK $240 (if I was in the market I'd be all over this one myself)

If it has to be new then I wouldn't be afraid of these:

Audiopipe APSM2000 $175 (I've not had enough experience with them to form my own opinion but many people seem to like them)

Massive Audio D3600 $300 (no personal experience but they seem to review well)

MTX TH1200.1D $300

Sundown SAZ1000D $300

The fact is you don't need the full total RMS to get them loud. Concentrating your efforts on making sure the enclosure is perfect will yield you better results than buying the cheapest thing you can that's rated for power it will never produce.

So looking for some info about amplifier and efficiency.

I have a xcon dual 1ohm 10"  so i can run at either .5ohm or 2ohm What i would like to know is  1500w @ .5ohm or 1500w @ 2ohm the 2ohm amplifier would be drawing more power to make its wattage because of the higher resistance correct ?

Getting two hds212s and wanna know what amp to get(sq brand) , and if i should get dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm. And if youve done this build, what are the box measures
