That box looked bad ass. Why did you switch up and go with two xcons?

Thanks! I thought it was just too much. I really didn't need it to be that loud. Also the weight was an issue too. One Zcon 12 was plenty loud for me lol i then thought of trying the Xcon 12 to make it more of a sq setup than decided fuck it ill get another lol

The weight of the Zcon and Xcon are similar but this time I have 2 amps that are smaller than the 3 I had before. Each Xcon is slightly lighter and the box will be made of birch. Also the battery is farther up towards the the front of the car.

Ohh I know!! I have the one 12 in now front firing with it about half sealed off and it gets pretty loud. If I had a better box in there for it, it would for sure get a shit ton louder lol

Since I'm front firing sub/port I made some side panels to block the cabin from the trunk

Looks good. Seems to need more port area?

Yea it does need more port area. When I first designed my box for the dual xcons I thought I was only gonna be able to do a certain amount of port area. I made it so this box was like half of the dual box. i wanted to see howbit would perform. it still sounds good but i know it cab be a lot better. no need to build another box since the other 12 will be ready in a couple weeks. But now I found out I can get a lot more room, so I can have more port area with the dual 12 box.

Ok so I just finished the box! Birch was much easier to work with than mdf. Also it feels a lot lighter too.

This box is 5 cubes tuned to 31hz with 80in2 of port area. On to the pics

Thanks Alton! It will be complete after I get back from Vegas.

The box is all complete. I am going to paint it when I get back. I think it's braced pretty good ;)

Yeah the box looks to have came out great.  I saw in the list of equipment for the build you had down the Sundown components.  Those installed yet?

No they're not. They don't fit in the 2012 fusion :(

The 12 has 5x7 speakers. I tried making an adapter out of mdf but it wouldn't fit right. I'm just going to wait til I get the 2013 fusion. The 13 has 6.5s so it will fit.

Too bad you don't live closer, I'd help you make adapters.

I look forward to reading your opinion on that set when the time comes.

Thanks man. I might try to do it again. I was in a rush last time. Maybe that's why it was bad and it didn't work.

Whenever I do get them installed I'll let you know how they are.
