Well, off to work for a few, then home to study. Going to take the paper part of my carry permit tonight, then schedule the shooting portion.

I don't know how it is in MN, but in AZ it was a joke. When I took it one of the people in our group was in his sixties, he continually pointed the barrel at others when handling his pistol, he had never fired it before so at the range he wasn't very accurate at ~20ft, he fell asleep during parts of the lecture, took his test at the end, missed quite a few problems, and still got a permit.

 

Sounds about right. It's like getting your driver's license, really.

I don't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but I came in today to clean up and take care of some issues and welcome the guy who took over the store I was working at. The old manager got a demotion... Kind of....

I showed him the weird shit about his new store and cleaned up some problems. To me it was professional courtesy, but I hope he doesn't see it as me kissing ass.

He is an area manager not just a store manager. Not even in my market. I have had to come in on one of my days off for 3-4 weeks though and I hope they don't see it as me being sloppy. Just trying to do the right thing.

I have a 93,94, and 96 Mark VIII.  Parting the 93, but buying another to swap an engine in for a beater.  Still working on trying to get that TC too.
