Anyone running nitrogen in their tires? My mechanic put it in the Mustang tires when he mounted them. I had not driven the car before for comparison though.

Nitrogen is used for two reasons, first it's a bigger molecule than air so it doesn't lose pressure. Second is pressure fluctuates with temp, nitrogen holds a more consistent temp. So unless it's for racing or extreme conditions it's just a gimmick rather than help.

They filled my 20's up with nitrogen that I had on a 2005 stratus in 2007 or 2008..After a few months they started losing pressure I really did not see any difference..20's at that time cost me around $2800.00 because of the uncommon bolt pattern and the style I wanted, pretty nice little ride though for what It was..Sure seth probably remembers it..Nice little install with some sexy little cadence Ia9 and Ia4 amplifier combo thanks to Jason Paul,I will see if I can find some pics on some old drives smile.png

One step closer we are, the state has approved the name and the domain has been purchased!

Get ready to be visited regularly by the ATF!

No worries, we know the local agent who will be interviewing us and she has been guiding us to make sure things are done properly.

We went from -15F to 70F in the time I was in Japan.  ie, 10 days.  I am one of the few that actually checks my air pressure, but if my truck drops 5lbs in a tire it handles wickedly different and I am somewhat anal.

Nobody got offended. Nobody wants to hear about your anal issues. It's bad enough we have to read your "normal" posts. Then you beat shit to death because you get butt hurt. Pun intended.

nitrogen makes up 78% of air, most service centers don't manage a pure 100% fill, but rather somewhere in the 80's. not really that much better than "air" and since nitrogen is the larger molecule, after loss of pressure, and adding "air" a couple of times, it's the smaller molecules that are lost, bringing up the percentage of nitrogen in your tire.

just keep a pressure gauge handy and fill with regular air. I've seen a few places that only garuntee around 85% nitrogen, and all research shows it's not beneficial until you reach 92-93%+.
