What's a good obd2 scanner for the torque app? Or is there any app better than torque.

Cheap BT stuff is useless.

Scantool and OBDwi. Ftmfw.  Of course it depends on what codes you need to pull.  I  have the scantool and hp tuners connected at all times

OBDwi?

What's the difference between the cheapies and obdlink?

Another thing. I use Bluetooth for audio. Can I do two Bluetooth connections or is there another way to connect...

Well.... I'm a flight to CT.  I got lucky and got a wing seat!

The cheapies die.  I've lost three of them.  They also have difficulties connecting and don't show you near the information.  I do however also now use a computer instead of a mobile device so I have no idea what the mobile software is like on theirs.  I assume it kills the generic Elm units.

Like everything else though it comes down to what you want it to do.  I want real time gauges of all aspects of what is happening on my engine.  That never works out in Torque.  Works 100% of the time on my pc with the one caveat being I occasionally have to retighten the USB springs as it stops working when it becomes unplugged and my ride is harsh enough that can happen regularly if the springs aren't super tight.

Think I'm going to grab the LX and see how it works. It doesn't suppourt single wire CAN (GMLAN), but from the looks of it, that's a 2008ish+ thing and not always needed.

I've used mine everyday for the past 2 years now.

Having a cheap Elm plugged in for more than a week straight always killed them.  Usually made my car freak out too.  Did weird things like shut off the anti-locks and make all sorts of lights flash that shouldn't.  Said fuck that :)

ok thanks lol

hmmm but i dont know if those would be very visible when installed?

edit: well i guess it can be visible, depends on the rim style

trying to lookup neat aftermarket brake calipers online to see how they could look but idk seems neat, but hard to tell

Crap.

Some of the outlets work in my master.  Obviously either a receptacle went bad or something in the wall.  Any tricks for chasing down where the power stops?
