Wasn't the ideal class, but when the owner greats you by name and that is what he is cooking...you do it.

Sounds like fun no matter what

Aaron - saw your note on linked in.  Just landed back in the U.S. I have a ton of ideas but am unsure what options you get to pick from.  That would help me help more.

Would and can respond in linked in as well...but read it at the airport so it won't remind me it is unfinished.  My inbox there is constantly being tickled by someone.

No rush, it is something that is rolling around in my head.  Funding is the biggest obstacle.  I can explain more in detail, but I am starting to fund SSA projects (8's are the first thing), so money to launch a new brand/line is very limited at this time.

We played a 10u tournament this weekend and swept everyone!  It was awesome!  Friday had a come from behind win with a walk-off single.  Yesterday our bats came alive and  we just crushed everyone.  Today we got in a 4 run hole early, then got the bases loaded with our cleanup hitter and he blasted a grand salami!  IT turned everything around and we dominated the next two games to win the tourney!

Next week's going to be tough though.  We start a 9u and lose all our 10-year-olds and that leaves us with only 1st year players.  SHould be fun though!  Lots of bloopers!

YEah, it was awesome!  Gavin went 8 for 13 with 12 RBIs!  He moves to third next week though as he's the only arm strong enough to throw across the field.  Unfortunately, he doesn't field well.

I'm not emotionally ready to handle my child playing sports.

Not sure if I'll be ready in 5-6 years.

What's been difficult for me is that my son is not as athletic as I was.  He does not seem to possess the drive or desire to win that I have either.  I'm working hard with him though and he improves daily, but outside stimuli seems to affect him far more than it should.  I'm also finding the simple concept (feeling) of victory is not quite the reward that most children these days desire

The way I look at it, I put my kids through the basics in sports. Baseball, football, and karate. That way if they decided to play when they got older, they would have the experience. Oldest one played in band all throughout high school while the other turned out like me and hated sports. He did however, turn out to be one hell of a skate boarder.

You never know how things turn out with kids. I think mine turned out great !!!

Great job on the dad's that get out there and take the time to work with your young athletes !!!

Arthur is the same way.  Not competitive at all, could care less about sports or teams or fitness.  It is very frustrating, but there is a messy reason as to why that I cannot get into it in the iHop.

I'm not competitive against others for the most part.  Just myself, and I am debilitatingly competitive against myself.

I feel it's going to be different.

And I was being coy, where do I look for parts??  I'm assuming it will save me a fortune to do it myself...
