BTW Neal, how much of a PITA has installing aftermarket audio in your Yota been?

I'm noticing the stock isn't as loud as it once was, and I'm debating on upgrading. Really like the stock look on this unit though.

If the Maestro RR works in it, then it is SUPER easy.

Just bought a Kenwood DDX9903s for $375 and it KILLS ANY factory installation I have ever seen.  Seamless integration with all factory items and more...the gauge interface beats what I could do with my carpc.

No processing on board (beyond HP/LP and a graphic eq per input source) but I don't really change my crossover settings all that much and regularly have my laptop so I don't really care.

Depends on the year. My 4th gen 4runners were very easy. I have not got into the 5th gen yet.

How does it do with Android Auto? I only want it for phone and maps.  Music I do via flash drive.

Just titled and plated the Audi.  It cost me nothing and I have $200 coming back my way.  That's the difference between an '03 A4 and a '16 Mustang.

Looks like the 2013 F150s with the big touchscreens can't be upgraded.... wow

Better than any other unit I have seen.  It does think you want music from it when you switch.  In my case I use a 2tb hdd for a flash drive and that loads fine.  Startup is under 5 seconds.

Let me know what you would like to see.  I can shoot a video.

2013 is SYNC2.  SYNC3 is a HUGE upgrade!

Alpine user to sell drop-in HUs for newer Ford and GM trucks.  Do they not offer them anymore?

I just want Android Auto. I'd be estatic to have the Kenwood and Maestro combo and have the rear view cam on the screen.

For 4 years my phone was my HU. A simplified UI on a bigger screen would be perfection.

Only thing I seem to see was 4" to a big 9" Alpine

The Sync2 should handle what you need.  Just get an aftermarket processor if you need to tinker.  Do a search for ForScn and you can defeat the factory processing also.
