Crazy weather here. We got almost 8" of rain. Guess this will put my base to the test in the garage.

Not really. I have that one that looks like anew aggressive set of anal beads.

It's ok, but I wouldn't hang the white lens off it.

it would be for hanging the 11-16 off of mostly .  not beefy enough for long exposures with big whitey but a useful perch at soccer games perhaps

The zomei 669c or its cheaper aluminum counterpart are the more budget friendly versions

My hotel in Bruges is in the river with a view so I may want a 20sec exposure

On axis the founteks are sweet .

That;s the problem, I don't know how to treat the in-dash situation. But again, for $65 shipped, it's no biggie if they lay around. My Fostex FF85k's are collecting dust...

They will reside behind that grille.

And screw USPS, I can't find a center console panel with a cubby hole instead of the ahstray here in Europe, and the best one I could find in the US is $79 shipped :(

I'm tired of reaching way down below the cigarette lighter for the volume knob on the Audison DRC.

They don't fit because the magnet is too big. I'd have to cut some air ducts, which would be possible with either the dash out or the windscreen out and since I want this setup as simple as possible it's not gonna happen :)

The only wires I ran were +12 for the amps, the DRC cord and the subwoofer wires.

Ah, a picture of the mounting space. I will have to make some sort of baffle.

So how much does one rebuild a 5.3 for if wanting to do it on the cheap. The sea seems to be on her last leg.

What makes you think it need rebuilt?  What do you think a rebuild entails?  What tools and knowledge do you have at your disposal?  .  Etc. . . .

Actually maybe a bit more, that is a 4.8 but if I were you instead of spending $3k on a rebuild I'd grab the 4.8 and turbo it.
