It is seriously a great coffee maker.  I want drip about 3x a year and have contemplated buying one just for it.  They do get sold used for under your budget, but I linked a buy it now so that it would stick around long enough for you to click on it.

I expect it will make a good enough product you won't upgrade it at any time soon and be happier.

You can always test.  A $8 french press isn't any worse than a $200 one.

I used to camp with a french press.  I have a little filter that goes inside  a Nalgene bottle that I think makes it just as good.  That I only use when I am too lazy to carry my lightweight percolator.

That helps a bunch.

I might put one of those on the countertop.

I love the used idea but I need that fast, no research or shop for used kind of answer.  I just have too many plates spinning to research anything else.

:)

If you do go the french press route, make sure to get it ground specifically for it.

Used and fast is fine.  Any one that is ending soon that is a good deal, buy.  As long of course as they have a good reputation.

Will do.  If your guidance has taught me anything it's the grind that really matters.

How the fuck does that make espresso????

It doesn't, it makes a really dark coffee though.  Product isn't bad but needs milk and has a grainy mouth feel

Damn T-bird died today.  That bitch is heavy for as small as it is.  Hopefully it's just the fuel pump.  It was acting like vapor lock, so it's either that or regulator.

I need like 4 dozen oysters and a gallon of martini.

Shewww...Never acquired the taste for oysters...Actually never tried them,my mom used to make some kind of stew that stunk the whole house up been afraid of them ever since..I would like to find a pearl though..Actually I read something awhile back about someone finding a huge one..

Right here..

I only eat them raw actually.  I'm sure if someone made me a good cornmeal po-boy it would be ok, or a good recipe of roasted ones I would be ok too.....

But raw oysters are one of those flawless foods.  I dont even need lemon or hot sauce actually.

When I was in CT and I had hours earlier plucked oysters, it was something I'll never forget.  An marine biologist major was shocking for me and pulled all the oyster crabs out for me because I was so fascinated.  Lol

My kids would get in trouble for that.  Rule in our house is you can't say you don't like it until you try it.  Then a description of what isn't liked is necessary.  Always possible to make whatever differently.  Oysters are yummy.  In all non-ruined forms.

My previous question was only to imply lunch would be sooner.
