Tirefryr 1,742 Posted March 20, 2020 You know, I would agree, but I need something not worth a damn. I need to get a garage built first and that's not likely to happen any time soon.

Tirefryr 1,742 Posted March 21, 2020 I don't care for the C8. I saw a couple in person today at the local dealer, and they just don't appeal to me. It looks like a 458 with Down Syndrome.

mikel7829 90 Posted March 21, 2020 This crap is spreading fast in my state..I have jacked up lungs being a smoker for years..Also diagnosed with COPD a few years back. And paranoia is starting to set in a bit wondering how I would handle pneumonia.

Tirefryr 1,742 Posted March 22, 2020 I've been toying with the idea of converting the Bird to a V8. I'd love to stick with the turbo 2.3, but it is not economical for the power level I want. I have a Mustang at the old man's that is rotten and can use that for a swap. I was shopping for a bottom and top end and I came across Blueprint engines, and they now offer crate engines. They have a 400HP/TQ 347 longblock for $4700! It would cost me that in parts and machine work and I'd still have to assemble everything and not get a warranty. I think I am going to get started on this once/if the Covid stuff settles down and I'm still around.
Tirefryr 1,742 Posted March 22, 2020 Sure would love to build an engine though. It's been a LONG time.

Get sleep, seriously. get sleep. Eat better than you ever have. Chug V8 if you have to. Get exercise and sun and you are one of the rare ones who needs to really keep your distance and wash your hands. Then wash them again 2 more times. The only OCD you need is hand washing and a healthy lifestyle. Pretend your health depends on it for a few months. And stop watching any news. They are not being honest. I'm not trying to "fake news trump you". I just want you to have the best info from the smartest people on the planet and I promise you, that is the BEST info for now. j-roadtatts 1,129 Posted March 23, 2020 The TMM's coming along! Baffles cut, shellacked and sanded... and some primer... and finally the black! Feet carved to shape! A drill jig to keep things even. Awe and black for the feetsies too. Punching holes for the terminal cups. And on to the acoustic treatment!
