RE XXX v3 sexiness

Bought this motor in the winter and now its a finished project.

This was how I bought it to find the spiders were off the landing;  I glued them back down and ran some power to it via free air to find that there was mad coil rub =[

Finished with an Fi recone and doing some testing;  Its now a 15" in 3.9 cu. ft. tuned in lower 34

Thanks for saying that, it will be my future home theatre sub.  I was actually thinking crazy to sell it, but comments like these will keep it around a long time.

Thanks for saying that, it will be my future home theatre sub.  I was actually thinking crazy to sell it, but comments like these will keep it around a long time.

 

I'm surprised you didn't build an 18.

Everything is looking and sounding good in my ride, but I am pushing too much power to the XXX =[.  She's getting warm, and I may consider selling it or putting it on the shelf for a HT project.

Well of course it will get warm, silly. It's a loudspeaker. 99% of the power you put into it is dissipated as heat.
