EVIL Tahoe | Mark's SSA DEMO MACHINE **new pics p8**

Recommended Posts

Well the time has come...

I have always wanted a vehicle dedicated to just stereo, and the other day I found one i've always wanted so I pulled the trigger on it.

1996 2 Door Tahoe, 350 Small Block 4WD.

Still unsure exactly what is going to happen to this poor truck, but it will be Evil to say the least.

Stay tuned....

Most the headlights and tail lights don't work, and I wanted different lights anyways, so...

I already have the ball rolling and ordered the following for it...

Nice!  I've always liked the two door Yukon GTs.

Gotta get it past inspection as the the first step..

Once it's road worthy, i'll approach the stereo design.  I need the truck to be light enough to drive far distance, so no massive weight in this one, so my initial thoughts are 4 18" Evils in a BP.

Thoughts....

I don't know if you like chrome or not, but the bumpers and grille matched to body color look great on these things.

Nice! I'd like to see the 18's in a ported wall tuned low. How much power are you planning on?

Nice truck.  I'm super excited!!!  bigjon, I was thinking the same thing. I remove my drive shaft when I tow like that.  29 miles won't hurt.  Anyway, congrats Mark.  Can't wait for the pics.  I've been looking for a suburban myself... 4 SSA Evils is going to be crazy.

When you build.... I will come.... literally... I'll make the drive to Putnam.... No question about it... maybe I'll have the Camry looking better... or at least sounding better.... lol

Better question, why not a bandpass?

Because it's an open space cabin. For Mark's needs perhaps a 6th order, but BP'ing a 4th order would be a waste of wood.

Until all options are explored, there is no right answer or end-all option, I was merely trying to encourage others to tell me why they asked Mark what enclosure he would go with.
