RF 12" Punch HX2 enclosure build

got my hands on a mint 12" Punch HX2 , I can not resist building an enclosure

to play with this thing.....

 

no table saw or router so I'm skill and jig sawing this one

cant wait to see the final product. . ..i used to drool looking at your box builds glad ur back and in good health

 

i had/have a power hx2 15 and loved it.....just tryin to find recone parts im comfortable with

 ignore the bungie cord...it's going by by tomorrow when I install the brackets

 

 no paint or carpet,,,,this is only temporary till I am ready to fiberglass pods for the

two 10"

Nice work, especially for having no real tools.

Sort of kills me the amount of work you went to for what amounts to a temporary enclosure....way more elaborate than any "permanent" enclosure I've built for myself. Then again that's because deep down I know that anything that goes in my car ends up being temporal in nature.

Very nice construction!  Hard to believe you only used a skillsaw :)

 

What are you using for glue?  Do you calk the joints as well?

I just use wood glue

 

the kerfing was fun with the skill saw.....LOL

 

 I'm really happy with the final result... very good out put

for being a single 12"  tuned so low

 I forgot how good the HX2's sound...

 

Rockford Fosgate did a big boo boo replacing them with the T series IMO
