Competitions in GA?

I live about an hour north of Atlanta, (Canton, GA) but go to school 3 hours south of it. (Milledgevill, GA)
Are there any competitions around this area or any really worth driving a few hours to see?
Its already August, but maybe for the 2015 year? I have always wanted to go.
