Opinions on max rms a BL 15 can handle?

Exactly what Fi rates it at.

Stick with the rms ratings the manufacturer states. Even if it took 2000 watts you wouldn't hear or notice the difference, if competing then it might be a small gain if any. Even though some people do run over rated power to their woofers it has its adverse effects and that in turn can damage soft parts quicker.

For a daily setup its not worth going past rated rms.

Go with a bigger box.

No.  Don't vary from recommended.  If you are asking then it will only end in failure otherwise.

There isn't much of a gain running from 1500 to 2k at all. On a side note, I tried a fully loaded daily bl 12 on my 2200 and it took it like a champ. Loud sub!
