Honestly I've tried the 2x4 method, bracing method, and all sorts of different techniques but nothing beats double baffle and all thread imo. Steel pipe and welded feet come in a close second

Looks like I'm going to end up having to double baffle it any ways....just to be on the safe side of things.

So I have a cubic ft or two and was wondering how much space wood take up....it's 1 1/8 all around

Find the total area of your brace then subtract the the total hollow area from it..if I am understanding correctly.Should give you the total displacement it will take from your enclosure.
