A Little warm up project

 breaking in the table saw and getting back into the swing of things

 

 with the sub I am using and the design this build is like putting a front end loader into a mail box......... LOL

got the fiberglass  done , drop on the top with a bit of sanding and I will

no longer have to listen to that Rockford Punch HX2 anymore ( thank gawwd ....LOL )

listening to that thing bang for a year was almost painfull

I actually did like the punch classic's way back in the day...Lol

  the HX2's are OK .... but they are painfull when you are use to having good detail on the bottom end

they are a bit peaky to me  ( I lied...ALOT peaky ) and they unload to easily down in the sub sonics for my taste

 

it did well for the year and for the $100 I paid for it

enclosure is 1.75cf3 plus displacements tuned at 26hz

well the enclosure sounds spot on but the Soundstream REF 1.500 amp

is almost useless at 3 ohm so I did some hunting around this morning

 

traded my two REF 1.500 amps for a Crown BPX 2200.1

works perfectly but has some cosmetic damage , happy though

I got enough power to launch that 10" thru the roof so it"s all good

 

just waiting for the rain to break and I'll take a couple pics

 I think it turned out really good for something I drew up on the shop

floor with sidewalk chalk..............

 

 the amp rack will have to be worked on , the holes were drilled for the

Soundstream amps
