Believe it was a bolt action model 1920.

I am in the same boat.  I could probably get back to gun ownership(in AL), it jut isn't worth the attorney fees IMO.  if I ever NEED one- I have access.  And at that point the hell with the law.LMAO.

Nice gun Thump....My dad has always use his Rem 270 when he goes hunting.  Good shooting guns.

 a very negative time

there is no way to ever be ready for such a thing , being  the healthiest most fit man I ever knew

I expected him to live past 90 ........ everyone is still in shock

some of you knew him , for those that did not

Dad LOVED to show off .... I figured I would help him out

Seems like one hell of a man. Always good to have a tough old man.

having him as a dad it made for an interesting childhood

I spent a lot of time with Dad in the Boxing club/gym and traveling across

Canada to all the wrist wrestling competitions....

we still own the boxing club , my sister is a fitness trainer and

still runs her business there

I actually broke my arm wrist wrestling when I was in grade 8

..... still have a 3" long stainless steel pin in my elbow
