working on the cooling fans

making a platform for the amps

and a platform to raise the amps up to allow the fans below to breath

20150326_161621_zpshsv6d9de.jpg

so with the original baffle we ran into 2 problems, 1 I accidently cut the speaker cut outs a half inch too big and 2 the motors for the front subs was right above the port. So to alleviate that we centered the back 2 subs and moved the front 2 subs back.

also we need an engine hoist to get this thing out and thats without subs.

thats about all i have for updates. will hopefully be able to get more into this in the coming weeks.

Dont be afraid to ask him on here, I'm pretty sure whatever you need to know could help others on the forum as well.

OP build log is getting better and better, box came out way better than mine :fing34:

For the old box you had. You said the motors were right above the port? Like blocking the port? Or just covering the back of the sub? What kind of issues would that cause?

The sub was above the port wall. I could barely fit a finger underneath the motor. Thus the vent hole was covered up pretty good. To allow for better cooling I moved those subs back so there is a good 5 inches or so behind the motor

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Was just asking because my box for my zcon is similar to the way you described.

Iirc the zcon doesn't have a pole vent. So you should be perfectly fine.

Nah it doesn't have one. So I'm good. Thats why i was asking incase there was a different reason you changed your box.
