12" Aeroport Ninety Degree Elbow

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at piping for a 12" port for my next box; please for fucks sweet sake tell me there's cheaper 90* bends out there than four hundred dollars.

I just need a 12" port 48" long to get my tuning. I don't want the box more than 42" wide, so i'm looking for a bend or two

this is the kinda stuff i've found so far http://www.lowes.com/pd_574544-1814-PVC+00300A+2200_0__?productId=50114329

Build a slot port and skip the pvc.

you can also bend it by heating it with a blow torch. Is it 'safe', a perfect solution or smell good? NOPE. But it can work.

External or slot.

What do you mean? Was planning on an internal 12" port, provided I can still find that guy in town to make flares.

I don't like how a slot looks plain, I don't know how to do kerfs either.

Like Godsmack said you can bend the PVC, look for a local irrigation shop. Stuff is super cheap and very thin. If you take a heat gun and heat it evenly you will be able to put a bend in it.

But honestly, I would just do a slot port instead of doing a PVC port.

Your front stage needs the budget WAY more

I had a 12" flared port, built out of fiberglass and it was external. I never liked the idea of PVC elbows due to cost.

I would just hold off on that. Not worth it forreal. . Wont hear any difference doing a round or kerfed port.

With a cost like that, yessir lol

and Adrian, I know it won't sound different, but it looks cleeeean. Bedliner and a nice flare is good enough for me.

On the topic of the frontstage, I got the components in and re aimed,  while better xover points are helping, I think I just need tweeters that like a lower crossover, and a set that is both more efficient/can handle more powa. Overall though, not super impressed with the fosgate shizz though, sounds like strumming frayed c-word hairs.

lmao i've never been censored before ^^
