In my latest shipment I received two 'next-gen' 18" protos. The build quality on them is very good, and should make a few folks happy. The Xmax is 27mm but the T/S specs on them are a bit shy of my target, so I am not going to post them here until I speak to the OEM. Here are some shots:

Nice to see an integrated gasket on the fron as opposed to the normal rubber trim ring. Would be nice to see a rubber or synthetic here also, but with budget in mind, the paper/cork/foam does the job at less cost. I wish more manufacturers would integrate this.

A bunch of equipment in a bunch of boxes in the basement.

I must say, the basket and motor look very nice on that thing.
Can't say I'm a fan of those foam surrounds though.

WOW! That thing looks like its got a 12" mounting depth. Impressive though.
