Great subs that never should have been discontinued....

If you could bring one back what would it be??

I will always say, round solo, Power HX2, PG Ti Elite, TC-7 based Eclipse Alum's....

I loved the PG Cyclone. A little noisy, perhaps, but I love the concept.

the power hx2 (even the punch hx2) were badass, as was the eclipse alum. i have always preferred the alums over the Tis.

the round solos are back, they are the cvxs, lol. but the originals were tight.

i would also bring back the memphis hp, hpo. way better subs then the m3.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

MTX Blue thunders. The original blue paper pulp cones from 91-92. They took a good amount of air space, but they sounded great! I liked them better than the w1s all my friends seemed to be going gaga for.

OOOOH that reminds me. I would want 8x Ascendant Audio Avalanche 15s. I NEED them for my home IB. That driver is an absolute IB wet dream.

MTX Eliminator, Cerwin Vega XL series drivers, Petras Prowlers, RF Audiofiles, Soundstream SPLs namely the 160, I miss mine so much, Pyle Pounder Pro, Pyle Cast, Pyle Driver II, MTX Thundercast, Crankenstein HVs, Original Ground Zero, and many of the aforementioned drivers.

the Power HX2 didn't do anything for me but disappoint me greatly. the JL 15w3 are great I have a pair and thy are still kicking. the MTX terminators were hot loved those subs. had 4 12 Isobaric in a 87 T-bird knocked hard. the Team Rockfords are great subx that needs to come back.

Image Dynamics IDW and IDQ8

Round Solo's

Illusion Audio ND series (not really "discontinued"...moreso went out of business)

JL Audio 10IB4 & 12IB4 (the 8IB4's can still be found in BMW stealthboxes)

JBL 1500Gti & 1800Gti

Velodyne Servo controlled car audio subs

The older OZ Audio subs, like the 200/250/300 series

Infinity Beta

Coustic Design Reference

CV Strokers (originals)

That's all I can think of off hand.......

I love the old round solobarics, but I REALLY miss the 8800 series(TC-7 if I remember right) Eclipse Aluminums. My first set of subs were the MTX 6000s, my second sub I ever owned was an Eclipse 8812. Absolutely LOVED that eclipse! Really makes me want to pick up a T3000 that is on sale right now, but you just can not beat the value of the Mach5Audio drivers...

My knowledge of old stuff is limited, but of what i have used that's isn't made anymore, I'd say that Beals Brothers 8s should be brought back. They basically act like subs that want to be midrange drivers, and are highly versatile, not to mention efficient - Even if that meant my last enclosure for one was over 1 cube net.

I am going to have to agree on the Round Solo's coming back!

as well as the MTX blue thunders. we had four 12's in a buddys escort that beat down.

You guys realize that the round solos have been produced for years? They were made by Credence, and you can still buy them all day long.

I was discussing these with Lloyd one day a while back and kept it in my favorites. Made in Kentucky.

I forgot about the original JBL GTi's, the Celestion AP series, the Soundstream Reference subs and I'm sure a few more will come to me eventually.

I just walked into my basement and saw my 1500gti and nearly posted myself. I do have to find a use for the beast.
