A/V software is integrated more effectively on an Apple but outside of that it is just expense for no reason.  Their clever uber huge educational system discount has paid monster dividends obviously

This drives a SHIT TON of Colleges to use them in their arts department. Add in the retina display, and you have a gold mine. They got me in due to that and some other perks.

Considering it's soley for photography, and the old one is for other shit......it should last a good bit.

Adobe has done the same with their creative cloud gimmick.

The retina display is antique compared to other options.  The gold mine is ALL marketing.  The Adobe, Microsoft Cloud software stuff is complete bullshit.

For other options on a laptop? What have you seen in a 15-17 inch laptop that has a better display? Not being an ass, but I must have missed it.

Ahhh.... Wat?

All 15-Inch Retina Display MacBook Pro models (A1398) have a 15.4" color display with 2880x1800 native resolution at 220 ppi and all 13-Inch Retina Display MacBook Pro models (A1425, A1502) have a 13.3" color display with 2560x1600 native resolution at 227 ppi.

Everything lol.  Retina is a marketing term for something that was designed 5 years ago...

So question on the bacon.

How much foreground bokeh (not sure if that's the correct term) is okay.

I love taking pictures of food, they seem to be bland and usually lacking color, when it's not the food lacking color. The cupcakes to me look awesome and the foreground bokeh is cool

Composition of the photo is a bit odd. It's very reminiscent of a quick cell phone pic. Maybe a better explanation of the subjects intended destination after the photo would help.
