mixing old subs with new

I have a collection of some older subs and some newer subs.  All are working.  I can use series/parallel wiring to obtain pretty much any total load I want.  Is there a way to check to see if any individual sub is less output than the rest?

It is generally not a good idea to mix anything that isn't identical with the others.  Sell the oddities and buy something else.
