Quality 6.5 speakers that wont break the bank!

Got a new truck (2004.f250 king ranch) and am ditching the factory 6x8s and 6.5s but need some guidance on what to get. Dont want Jls or kickers.. if been looking at ground zero stuff but cant seem to find anywhere to buy any. Dont want to break the bank!

Not doing a crazy system, want to keep a clean crisp sound at high volume.

Was looking at the ampere audio 100watt coaxial set

I can't recommend any coaxials, but if you want to do components, I highly suggest the Evil 6.5 mids paired with your favorite tweeter.

Are you just powering them off of the stock h/u or aftermarket amp?

Not true at all. I replaced my stocks with SSA Evil 6.5s and SB Acoustic tweeters for around $200 and its way better than the stock speakers.

Amplifier and drivers ?? Without no modifications to the vehicle ??

Still using factory amp, so same power. Sounded better than stock even before mods were even made to aftermarket speaker installation. 

 

Even in my older Acura on some power and no mods done to aftermarket speakers, some cheap coaxials were better than stock. 

 

I think it's crazy to tell someone upgrading speakers over stock is a waste because they don't have the budget you would use on your upgrades. Granted its not an SQ vehicle he is building.

I already have the kicker zx350.4. I think I'm gonna go with the ct sounds strato 6.5s

Even Ford's premium drivers are shit.  A set of Boss coaxials would likely yield better results than his stock stuff.
