Took the day off to get this done, battery is finally mounted. Box is screwed down to car itself and wedged between foam spare tire holder and car's side panel, used a mallet to get this done. Looks damn good if I say so myself. Time to throw the sub enclosure in :woot:

In the process of figuring out how to go lithium, don't want to throw another group 31 on my trunk. Looking into an H/O Alternator as well.

I don't understand the lithium craze.  To me, the only advantage is less weight.  I know it's more than that, but for what I need/want a battery to do,with the cost, it's pointless to me.

For my power needs it will come down to weight in space. Not that I'm concerned that much with weight. But if I can keep a spare tire in my car and avoid putting two group 31s down there, then it will be a win win to go lithium.

Once I carried the box downstairs and put it in the trunk I didn't even wire it up. I just closed the trunk and locked the doors. I'm wore out, sheesh.

Got it wired up this afternoon, it's on low power as it breaks in. Sounds damn good, glad I went back with Fi. I love how that Audio Control lights up from the top, its pretty dope especially since it matches blue light theme I have going on.

Front Stage will be changed out soon, I'm damn sure keeping the horns. Mids will only be in the front doors, no more rear door fill. Options are:

Two 8"s per front door (Stevens Audio MB8-2)

- Or -

One 10" per front door (Faital Pro 10PR300)

A little SSA love for the build log, I've been eyeing these since they first came out.

I almost did at least twice but once I started I knew I couldn't turn back. When I say it took everything out of me, my mouth was dry as hell and one forearm was sore till the next day.

I broke 140 dbs playing DJ Russticals - I'm the man, had my sunroof all the way open so that's a cheater score. With my sunroof closed the loudest I was at was 137 dbs, frequency changed by 1hz. All of this is with the gain low as I'm still breaking the subwoofer in. I love this little thing, it brought fun back to having bass and slamming, trying to guess your score or frequency.

Hey Aaron can these be left in the car even when not in use or can certain weather temps cause issues? Thanks

It's official, going 2 8"s per front door, rear door 6.5"s have been removed already. Sucks to see these beautiful speakers and nice rings go after only being in for a month in a half but on to better things. I covered the hole with some thick egg crate dampening.

See how bad she is squatting, looks like I got that Cali Lean haha. Don't want to ruin my springs so Im turning the box around to displace some of the weight. I'm also moving the amplifier behind the box so when I open the trunk you will see amp, battery and back of enclosure. With the seats down you will see the front of the enclosure, Plexi window and LEDs show at night.

I turned the box around, didn't do anything else tonight. I'll finish in the am. Amp needs to be relocated still and box pushed all the back, hopefully this helps get more bass in the cabin.

I still have to install the power and ground wires to the amp and it will be playing, I will do that in the AM.

It looks so much better, damn it looks kinda menacing looking back at from the front seats.

Well that didn't last long, the port definitely needs something to bounce off of. I have to turn the amps gain up more to get the same sound almost and output. Box is back to first orientation but pushed back further towards the cabin and amp is in front of the box now. Will listen in the am when I go get my new tires put on the car.

Aftermarket radio Sony XAV-AX8100 is paid for and so is the materials and labor, the factory radio, factory amp and aftermarket factory integration piece will be removed from the vehicle. Im getting reimbursed for the Nav-Tv unit, so that's a plus.
