I picked up the Sundowns and the Eclipse 8443 back in December and threw in a temporary set up. Now that I'm not having my life sucked away by a manipulative bitch, I'm finally getting the install completed. I'm rebuilding the RL-i boxes to be slightly larger and not have airleaks and be more attractive. Side panels will be build into which the amps will be flush mounted. Hopefully, I'll also get a chance to build a cover panel for my rear deck this week.

when i was taking the subs/old boxes out, one of the T-nuts came loose so i couldn't get the bolt out. i was just about to dremel it when i discovered i could bend it back and forth until it snapped

stupid t nuts. next time i use them i'm gluing them with JB weld before i ever try to put a bolt in there. i had 3 come unsunk on me. luckily, my 6" round port was the perfect size for me to reach my arm down and eventually (with lots of effort and swearing) grab the nuts with vice grips and take them out.

as for spare tires...mine couldn't be in a better location. underneath the trunk area out of the way :-D

JB weld doesn't help. Even Resin doesn't help. The key to getting T-nuts to work with MDF is to NOT use them in MDF. Use a different type of insert, OR put another type of wood behind the baffle where the T-nuts will go. Plywood, harwood, or OSB work great for this. They provide a better "bite" for the T-nuts and are not prone to separation like the manufactured woods such as PB and MDF.
