This is how i am turning 4ga mids and high wire into speaker wire for the doors (i know its not necessary but its a long run to the back by the amps and it looks cleaner back there then 50 16ga speaker wires jammed into the T15k terminals )

I'll admit its the largest I've seen. And the nicest install I've seen! Keep it up man! Amazing work!!

worked on the driver door today.......everything is X2 in this truck, always gotta be a right and a left side to everything and since its so much damn work, i feel i can post pics of the other side, even though its exactly like the other side :D

i also managed to get the wiring harness on the panel. Wires cut to length, tweeter wires soldered and heat shrunk. Mid wires go directly into the speaker terminals so no need to solder. Anyway the back of the panel isnt as clean as the front.......its all business back there LOL.

OK i spent some time during the week running crossover wires from the distribution blocks. Today, i got the armrests back from being dyed to match the suede. I layed 2 layers of Hushmat before i got started. The Passenger door, i am happy to say, is 100% done :D Here is just some of the weeks "labor".

OH ya, did i mention the seats are out for Leather and Suede? This is the last time you will see them tan. Slowly but surely all the tan and brown inside the hoopty will be gone :D

Ok i used foam inserts to keep the 10's and 6.5's from mixing......the 6.5 foam pads were a pain in the ass and were not lettin me sink the speakers in as deep as i wanted so i took them out. The 10" pod is still there and i think thats all ill really need anyway...

Guest zedman

he has already hit a 160 With no tuning at all. I would think it would stay in the 160's. :-) Z

what kind of numbers you think you will get in the end with this caddy?

i dont know....i dont care. I touched a '60 and added a ton of mids/highs to go with it.....im happy with it the way it is ;)

yea so when he finishes i believe it will be close to higher 160s

easier said then done.....1db is major at this level. I just want it to sound killer as a package (mids highs etc), look good, and with the bonus that it can do that 160 if need be.

this is not a db-dragster......its 2.5-3db louder then my tahoe and the owner (chicken) wont even sit in that so i think he will be happy :D

just now clockin out for the evening......all the mids/highs are OFFICIALLY HOOKED UP!!! They sound INCREDIBLE!!! Vids tomorrow for sure!!

if you want to know how much power i am using total, here it is.

Mids/tweets hooked up @ .67 ohms. my guess is that is around 3,000 per channel. Im using 2 channels for those. So 6,000 watts.

Midbass is hooked up @ 1 ohm. That is 2000 watts per channel. So 4,000 watts.

subs are hooked up @ .5 ohms per channel...That is full power 3750 per channel.....so 15,000 watts.

totals: 10,000 on mids/highs 15,000 on subs.

do i have enough mids and highs to handle 10k, probably not.........but ive got so much headroom its crazy and these things SCREAM!!! Sounds clean as a motha#$%cka too!! Dont forget not only are these the biggest car amps out there, according to the "powercube" results, this is also one of the cleanest amps out there too :)

wiring madness part 2 :D
