    my sub sounds horrible

Just for kicks try lowering your LPF to 50-60hz. If you have the gain set too high and clipping the signal then it wouldn't sound very good either. For what it's worth having the volume 15-18/40 is meaningless as is setting the gain with a DMM. definately not clipping my gain isnt even set high at all, I PM'ed you

    my sub sounds horrible

so i fixed it, it definately sounds better than it did before. the location made a HUGE difference and i tuned it to better frequency's from my amp and headunit. definately a huge improvement from before. i had the sub firing sideways toward the quarter panel of my car (not firing toward the trunk or the cabin) then i made it fire to the trunk opening right behind the back seat and it sounded way better. thanks for the help

    my sub sounds horrible

im not blasting the sub on full potention now, im only playing my radio on volume 15-18/40 , i have the voltage tuned to about 1600 watts at volume 30 from my DMM im just trying to break it in right now so ill see how it plays in about 3 weeks or so. im 100 percent making a nice custom ported box for it but this was just temporary to put it in a sealed box, and there are no leaks anywhere, all seams are tight and all screws are in nice and tight using an impact drill, connections are all tight as can be as well

    my sub sounds horrible

why does my xcon sound like crap? i put it in a 1.5 cubic foot sealed subwoofer box with polyfil running it off a crescendo BC2k amp, subsonic on like 30 hertz and low pass on around 60-70hz it doesnt sound like its hitting the notes right at all sounds really cheap actually , like something is hitting a wooden box i previously had the 2 10inch alpine type r's in a custom ported box at 39 hertz (same radio, same amp, same settings) and it sounded WAYYYY louder, cleaner, better is it an absolute MUST to get a custom ported box for it? the sealed box i got TEMPORARY till the summer when i build my custom ported box at 32 hertz, 2.5 cubic feet. its a Belva 12 inch box from sonicelectronix with 1.5 internal NET cubic volume, dont say cuz its a prefab box, cuz if you built a custom sealed box with the same dimensions and 1.5 cubic feet it wouldnt even make a difference. i have the D2 xcon wired down to 1 ohm to my nendo bc2k amp

08 Honda Accord build for 12" XCON

Anyone here have an 8th generation Honda Accord? If you do what system do you have in it and what does your trunk look like? Im trying to figure out how to build a box my 12" XCON subwoofer but the trunk is so stupidly designed. its very wide towards the trunk opening then goes very narrow as you move towards the seats due the wheel wells arching up into the floor. I dont want to Kill my entire trunk space by having to build a box and put it towards the trunk opening cuz i need to use my trunk here is a picture of how the trunk looks (you can see what im talking about how stupid the design is and here is a picture of when i had my alpine type R's in them. had it squeezed in the back portion between the two wheel well/arches [/url it sucks i cant just build a nice flat box in there You guys think a fiberglass box would work? For some reason I don't think it would sound good having an XCON in a fiberglass box
