If you're in the market for a truly versatile sub, then look no further. Paying more than $200 for an American designed and assembled product is unheard of, let alone with such quality and a 3 inch coil!
I bought 4 12 inch subs the hour they were released, and have been using them everyday since. Competitive burping, ground-pounding, demoing both spl and clarity I'm more than happy with my purchase. If you can see through the vlurred bision these subs cause you can literally watch your car shake apart!
Turn the bass knob down to blend with the front stage to really show what bass can add to any music. The Gcons bass reproduction is pin-point accurate. The tight double drums or the beat of a bass guitar will leave you with a smile on your face every time you really listen to your music they way it was meant to be heard.
So this is what al the hype is about.
I was skeptical about buying these because SSA is a still a relatively up-and-coming brand. I have never seen or dealt with any SSA products before the Gcons.
Got 2 12s sealed at 600W each. They SLAM even sealed and they're really clean; these things are heavy duty. Awesome product. Don't let the 750w RMS scare you off, they sound great even with lower power set-ups. They barely get warm even at extended periods of high volume, I'm talking beating on them HARD (safely of course) for ~3 hours with no breaks.
SSA = $$. The Gcons were money well spent in my book. Great performance for a great price and I'll never go big-name again. I see them lasting for years to come.
This is an amazing sub for a great price. It sounds super clean, gets very low, hits hard and gets loud; all in musical tastefulness. It will handle much more than the recomended rating but will also sound very good in low power set-ups (Have tried it at 375 watts at 8 ohms and 900 watts at 2 ohms). You can't beat this subwoofer plus its made in the USA! SSA is very top notch!
