SSA has definitely done lots of things right. I'd say they are one of the best subs on the market if not the best. I am dieing to hear the Xcons. The Dcons sounded way better than I ever expected so the Xcons should be unreal......

You will be really happy with yours, I am shocked how well it (Dcon 12) performs out of the box and with low power. This is my first time in a while running so little power and honestly there is no discernible loss in output over the RF T2 10"...........For the way i have this set up right now (very conservative) the output is VERY impressive in a sealed enclosure. One guy who runs a 10w6 and 500/1 was amazed when he heard mine, said it was much better than his setup

So far they(DCONs) sound awesome and DO get loud sealed and let me tell you, these subs hit LOOOW. I don't regret sealing them at all. Another thing I immediately noticed about them is they have crazy excursion. Way more than the JL Audio W3D4 12s and Orion P12s I used to have. Are you sure their Xmax is only 16mm lol?."

"Nasty (2 XCON 15's) to say the least and they play all kinda music very well!

The woofer (Dcon 12) seems to be very musical to my ears in that it can go from low to high and back down without skipping a beat.... It hits hard and exact but can also flow through the notes seamlessly when required to do so.........The woofer kept up perfectly with all the album had to throw at it. Lots of authority in the kick drum and deepness from Mike Dirnt’s 4-string. ....The appearance of the woofer appeals to me because of the simplicity of the print on the front, beefy suspension and the ability to reverse mount it if I so chose to.

my final thoughts are....its a damn good sub(DCON). it has the flattest response of any sub i can think of. its tight and has a response that runs the whole spectrum of everything i could throw at it. and the best part is it did this all with right around 400 watts....in a pure sq car (flat response wanted) i would definitely turn to this sub, especially because of its ability given low power.... .

The best words to describe them would have to be "accurate" and "punchy" My friend stated that he noticed small nuances on certain songs that he didn't hear with the XXX's. The response on them is very flat and even throughout the frequency range, which is crossed over now at 80hz, 18db/octave. They are an easy blend with the front stage, and after the half hour or so that we fooled around with them the amp was warm and the Icons showed no indications of being warm to the touch. Of the variety of music that we tested on they showed no preference, they just excelled at all. I simply can't say enough good about them.

Yesterday i installed my new 10" SSA Icon with a 125.2 Sundown. And install went fine, little trouble with the Line Out Convertor, but we worked through it. After it was all installed and setup good we started messing with tuning, and man this setup was POUNDING away on my BMW!! I mean for a 10 and the 125 to be hitting this hard was amazing. Cutting the story short i was driving home and had the music going nothing outrageous just listing to the radio. I get up this morning to do some final touches and noticed that my license plate had rattled off on my way home!!! I thought it was hilarious!!! Well that is my little plug/review of my new SSA/Sundown system!! Thanks.
