Supreme Series LMT's are optimized for moderate to large sealed enclosures. For optimal performance, we recommend a minimum of 4.0 cubic feet net volume. If you are aiming to fill a large home theater and have the extra space at your disposal, moving up to 10.0 cubic feet will aid in low-frequency extension along with a flattening of the response curve.
Vented enclosures are not recommended for these drivers, as in most applications they will result in a considerably peaked response curve that is undesireable for a balanced listening experience. If you must try the ported alignment, we advise aiming for an internal volume between 6.0 and 10.0 cu ft, tuned between 14-22 Hz. The low tuning is necessary in order to keep your response curve reasonably flat. The larger your box, the lower the tuning should be.
