    Need help choosing?

I will politely disagree. I have similar musical tastes and the Q was the better choice IMO. I also considered the caliber of the rest of the components he is using in my recommendation. It seems as if he is more into SQ than anything else, just the occasional beat down. OT, I am loving the M! Everyone that doesn't agree with is a I will however, disagree with your assessment of me.

My assumptions about what you were looking for were incorrect. If Rap is pretty much all you listen to, go for the BL.

Although I have little experience with the BL, I will still vote for th Q. With that power, you will be better utilizing your amp and have outstanding SQ when you need it. Although I absolutely love my Havoc's, there are aspects of the Q's I miss. Amazing drivers, IMHO. Chris

    JBL L250's

x2 How old are they? The pictures suggest a little bit of age. Yeah they are from 1986-1990 I was told. They are referred to as the "Holy Grail" of JBL home speakers. They were the TOP Model they produced. This was one of the quotes I found by JBL. "The speaker was designed by Greg Timbers, Steve Lyle and Lorr Kramer. It was JBL's first time aligned system and resulted in a speaker with unparalleled soundstage coherence. Unfortunately, this system was not a marketing success. It was very expensive to build and was too significant a departure in sound from JBL's horn based speakers of the past. I also know that the 14" odd ball woofer is good to 30hz so there was NO need for a sub. The cabinet is MASSIVE. They have to weigh at least 140lbs each. I can't wait to get the woofers fixed and get them set up. Awesome. Post pics when you get the bottom drivers fixed. I love older equipment. Are you using them for stereo or HT?

    Thanks! I appreciate it.
  19. I always wondered that too. My HT subwoofer amp has one and when I have parties and push the sub hard I always make sure I am under that point.

Indeed it does. I went through 6 rear view mirrors before I just gave up. Haven't had rear view or sunroof controls for 5 years now. lol

Did you have a part in this design? I know someone did, just never knew who. Optima YT 34/78 under the hood, second Optima YT G31 in the spare tire well, Big 3 in 0gauge between the two batteries. When this alt dies, I will address that when I need to. 14" x 40" x 22" 4cf tuned to 32Hz. I got rid of the flush mount( wish I would have just cut the extra sheet). I also added two 45's inside the box to see if it really makes a difference. I still need to meter it to see if it did or not. This car does poorly on the meter. Always has.

Yes, I completely sealed off the trunk, including the rear deck with 1/2" mdf where the stock Bose subwoofer mounted and deadened the rest. I used 1/2" mdf to make the initial flush mounts for the box and then used expanding foam for the small gaps around the box from the trunk. The subs were recessed in the first box. The second box just has a double baffle with no countersink for the subs. Nice! I'm planning on doing subs/port forward in my car too and initially wanted to flush mount them in the opening behind the seat but that's proven to be more of a hassle than it's worth so it's looking like i'm gonna end up doing it pretty much like you did. It was really pretty easy once the procrastination stopped. I would have loved to do it flush like you wanted to, but my shock towers are too close together. So I just used lots of expanding foam to fill the gaps. Seems to be doing exactly what I wanted.

My roof needs attention now. A weld or something broke between the windshield and the sunroof.

    hello

Unless it is from a trunk car with long doors. I just read he has a liberty. No experience with those. It seems he should be a bit louder.
