Done? What is this done word you speak of. I don't think that is even achievable?

They are currently in the sail panels. I know they are ugly, but this was my first attempt at glassing anything. The pod for the mid is attached to the door and angled as far as I could. I wanted to see if it was an improvement and it blew me away. The next step is taking the door apart and building the door to accommodate both the huge motors on the Rainbow mids.

Your tweeters are on axis facing what direction? Each opposing tweeter is directed at the opposite listeners ears. I had them bot aimed at the driver and was not happy with the way it, even with time alignment, ended up sounding. I tried them in the a pillars and was not happy with that either. I may try a different configuration in the future, but have found this to suit my taste the best so far. IMO, achieving great imaging and sound stage is very difficult in an automotive environment. Finding what is pleasing to you without too many trade offs is a good place to be.

the Xcon has definitely caught my eye too. I hope to hear some one day. Maybe I will try one out one day, assuming the job market improves! OP, thanks for your feedback. I love to hear first hand experiences and impressions.

My tweeters are on axis. My mids are not. Currently running Rainbow cal27 tweeters and AA Havoc Carbon mids. I have never had anyone say they had a hard time making out detail from the back seat. I have been toying with dropping in some SLC NG's in the rear doors. I liked having rears for "pulling" the stage back a bit. I have never been a fan of rear deck speakers though as they always seem to overpower the fronts for whatever reason. I have been running just fronts for roughly a year and have been very happy.

How about a single 15" AA Havoc? You will have plenty of room to tune it low and it would work well with the SAZ1500.

Yes, I completely sealed off the trunk, including the rear deck with 1/2" mdf where the stock Bose subwoofer mounted and deadened the rest. I used 1/2" mdf to make the initial flush mounts for the box and then used expanding foam for the small gaps around the box from the trunk. The subs were recessed in the first box. The second box just has a double baffle with no countersink for the subs.

The snow def is a nice touch!

Man I love these subs!

Pic Videos This is obviously chopped and screwed. Normal stuff is actually much more violent inside the car, just not as much movement outside. My goal was to stop the tears in the sheet metal caused by my Q's and the continuation of the tears by the Havoc's. My trunk doesn't move an inch. At lower volumes, even with the trunk open, you can't hear bass at all. Yay.

I hate hypocrites, dont do something then frown upon me for doing the same thing. He is probably just made how your car has more bass than his house. I have lived here 3 years and he is the only neighbor that hasn't come to say hi and/or participate in any of the festivities in the neighborhood. Just a grouch I think. Man these videos are taking forever.

Looks great. I will miss the fireworks.

Uploading some short videos I was able to get before the neighbors got involved. I never play music at my house. But I guess a 30 second video was too much. I am kinda irritated because they one guy that stared me down always blasts his music on the rear deck and from inside his home and I never say anything about it. Oh well.
-
I have honestly never seen them before. They look very cool though!

Looks like we might need a good doggah thread up in here.

She was 45lbs when she was found on the side of the road. Vet thinks she was hit by a car or thrown from one. Fleas and mange like I had never seen before. She is now 74lbs and the mange and fleas are a distant memory. Boxer mixed with what we think is either Bullmastiff or Ridgeback.

Beautiful pup. Good choice on the rescue too. I did the same. I will see what pics I have.
-
Man I love my Havoc's. As soon as I figure out what the wife did with the camera I will add the new pics and a short video as usual. Great choice!

It did exactly what I wanted it to do. So I really don't think it was a waste. Sound deadener showdown was a good resource I used when making my purchases. Chris

Thanks, I learn something every time I build. I really enjoy it. I used .98cent flat black rattle car spray paint from Home Depot. the cheapest stuff they had. Used it the first time and liked the outcome.

So here is one of the install in progress. I am working 2 jobs right now, thus the slow progress. I need to get some great stuff and fill all the little gaps and mount the drivers/amps/etc. Hopefully tomorrow. The top, sides and bottom are as close as I could get them to being flushed. The foam will have to do the rest. No cutting btw.
-
This. Just may be the ticket.

They will do more than rated with a proper electrical system backing it. Sweet. Now to convince the wife I need a new amp. On a side not, I am glad you are here today! I appreciate all your information. Chris Tell her not to think of it as another car audio piece of junk, it's an investment in the advancement of musical perfection. LOL! I have used that already. LOL! I think she is onto my game. I know how do make it work though. Timing is crucial.
