  1. Hi guys

I just recently got an 18" AA Chaos and just put it in my car and i must say im extremely happy.

I am surprised at the SQ this subwoofer has! The transitions between bass lines are so smooth, it handles highs great. And im still breaking it in!

Compared to my older subs (Soundstream T415, RF HX2's) i must say this stuff is the best ive ever heard.

Ive got it on a Mac Audio Fearless 1000 (~900wrms), in a 7cuft box tuned to 34hz. Incl. 45's and lotsa bracing.

All inside a small Honda Civic Hatch.

    Here's some pics:

Im pretty newbie at building boxes so dont shoot me if it doesnt look great! I designed it with exposports calculator.

thank you ASCENDANT AUDIO for making such a stunning product!!

  2. There are several people on here who can design boxes. Just wait till they chime in i guess. Also SSA does offer some basic box design's on the website. Are you trying to just stay with in the hatch area? You should have enough room in the hatch for a good box. GL with this though.

    Thanks

Yeah im gonna stay in the hatch area, wouldve gone out of the hatch area if i didnt have to cut out any metal..

  3. Whats up guys.

Ive been trying to build a box for my (yet to arrive) 18" Ascendant Audio Chaos but it isn't really turning out how i would like it.

You guys must have some tricks/ideas that i just dont know about yet (ive only built L-Ported boxes)!

I'm trying to get this box as big as possible with the small dimensions i have to work with.

I dont know about the tuning frequency, i've been happy with 33hz in previous setups, but i dont know, what do you recommend?

    I listen to rap music.

I'd like the box to fit in my (small) '99 honda civic hatch.

These are the max exterior dimensions i can work with:

    26.3" deep

    30.7" wide

    20.1" high

It will have to be ported up towards the hatch to allow the port to breathe.

I've thought about taking out the backseats and just making a huge box but there's this metal seat latch that i just dont want to cut away...

    Can you guys help me?

    Thanks a BUNCH.

    Robin

  4. Alright guys..i have an Eclipse TI series 12" running in my truck. Right now i have a kenwood kac7202 with 4gauge wiring and a 1F capacitor. The amp doesnt put out enough power..so Should i buy a mono block amp or 2 channel and bridge it? And what amps do you recoment for this sub? my budget is not huge so take it easy on me lol.. Any help it all getting more sound outa this thing will be aprreciated!

    Buy a monoblock. Bridging a 2chan to 1chan causes a certain distortion.

Monoblocks have better powersupplies that can take more beatin. doesnt get as hot, etc.

  5. Sup guys

Given i have limited space in my ride i was wondering which of these boxes would be loudest:

    ported 5.3cuft after displacements @ 31hz

    or

    sealed 6.88cuft after sub displacement

I could tear out the backseats which would give me plenty room to make huge boxes (16cuft) but im not really eager to do so. But i will if there's no real option.

Im also just wondering if this will be louder/lower than my previous setup :

    2 12" RF Punch HX2's ~ 4.3cuft @ 33hz

PS. This is on a 1000wrms
