Yeah I can back up what anton is saying cuz Iv seen this system and it loves to bottom out above 37hz I know the subwoofer suspension is very loose.

    Plum Creek Mdf

Never heard of it, but it sounds tasty same here. Do you have any pictures of said wood?
  5. Some box modifying from subs up port back to subs and port up. Port is the same distance from the bottom of the box vs. as it was from the back wall (8inch's). Next, back wall clearance is the same vs. port clearance was from bottom of box. Last, the same distance apart from each other and centered like it was when porting back. So all thats changed is the port location.
  6. You can do that? How? Also what kinda testing have u done with subs and port up? Thanks for the tips. If you got more plz tell.
  7. Update: Anton and I are geting on a termlab this upcoming week to test my jeep w/ a sealed and ported book to find my peak feq. This will aid/kick start my monster build I also have a queston if anyone can help out plz. Ok so, someone was telling me that when I add sound deadening in my truck it will lower my peak feq by a few Hz. Is this true?

  9. Shizzzon, do u see any problem with the way Anton has the subwoofers precision-ed in the box? What would you recommend? Thank you.
  10. sounds good. 1 problem though. That amp was my buddys and I just installed his system yesterday
  11. iv tryed this. moved my subs up port back box from 5 inchs away to 12inchs and was away louder.
  12. A dmm is cheap and safer alternative to gain matching by following the clip led. OP : I've seen the setup implemented before in a Grand. IIRC it peaked low. He is going to fight against the odds if he wants big numbers together with a low tune. Try and implement some port inserts to be able to tune higher when needed What year was that jeep. Each one is different. Even with the same year some will peak higher or lower then others. Just by 1 bad weld spot all the way to a lose bolt can change everything.
  13. First off I would like to thank you and Anton for helping me out because this is my build. Also right now my buss bar is .5'' thick x 2 inchs wide. But my new ones for the powermaster will be 3inchs wide x 1inch thick Btw the alum flat bar for 3x1 cost me only $30

    Masterofallbass's Build w/ XXV Maxxmus

i dont see it being too big of an issue, but who knows. i mean 3 18"s off the new aq competition amp should be sufficient to do this, but again we will find out. That's hardly a competition amplifier. It's retarded to run one. Should not be to hard. Yeah, 3 18's is alot of cone area though. more then 4 15'' Why do you say that? 14kw 1ohm. Aq is great stuff for a great price

    Masterofallbass's Build w/ XXV Maxxmus

Yes As of right now im working on some detals to my next system coming very soon Thinking 4 15'', 4 18'', or 3 18'' Fi BTL Fully Loaded. Thing is I need alot of space for them woofer with the amps and battartys. Amps could be 1 AQ20K, 3 AQ3500.1D, or 4 AQ3500.1D (Rated 4300rms @1 ohm 14.4v 1% THD.) Also Going with Powermaster d3100s and a 2d Dc power alt. Sick, stick with the 4 15s. A 12 cu. ft. box tuned low with 4 15s would slam pretty good, especially with 20k rms going to em. we will see

Chevy Cavalier, Kerfed Port Build, 12" BTL

We both think it may be mechanical noise from the subwoofer but then again it could be a number of things. The only logical thing is the mechanical noise becuase his box is tuned to 32hz so a very high note played could make this port noise. Just a gess.
