Best place to buy 1/0 gauge?

I didn't want to start another thread so I thought I would just see if I could get some help in this on real quick. I took out my passenger seat and mounted my speaker amp and ran all the wiring except for my remote wire. On my previous installs I would take the remote wire (blue) from the back of the HU and plug that into my subwoofer amp and since this is my first time installing an amp for speakers and then another amp for my subwoofer I will have two remote wires I need to wire up. Would it work if I plugged in the remote wire from the HU to the subwoofer amp and spliced the speakers amp into the remote wire coming from the HU? Would this be the correct way or is there a different/better way of doing it?

Best place to buy 1/0 gauge?

The first place I tried was under the door seals, but the biggest I think I could maybe fit under them would be 16gauge, it's an extremely tight fit under my door seals which is why I chose to go under the center console/ebrake area. Never heard of a "wire snake" how much do they cost? and on the Knukonceptz site, I found the KCA 1/0 gauge wire, but it says "Price: $1.95" and has a quantity. Is the quantity in ft? For example it says "Price: $1.95" "Qty 1", does that mean $1.95 for 1'?
  5. Where is the best place to buy Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge wire for the cheapest price? And I also need suggestions on the best place to run my wire in my 2011 mazda 3. Right now I have Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge and the only place I could wire it was under my center console then I came out the side (driver side) and under my seat, and I don't know how to get it into the trunk of my car with it being un noticed, how can I hide it going through the back seat area into the trunk?

Best place to buy wiring kits

I ordered a 1/0 gauge wiring kit for my sub and a 8gauge for my speakers, and now I just need to know what type of wire to get to run from my amp to my speakers, I can get 16gauge pretty cheap, but I don't know if 16gauge will allow my speakers to get there maximum potential in power or not? Will this allow my speakers to get there full power, or will I need a bigger gauge? http://cgi.ebay.com/100FT-High-Quality-16-Gauge-Ga-Awg-Speaker-Cable-Wire-/170627691191?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27ba33f2b7#ht_1371wt_905
  7. I just bought a pioneer avh-3200bt, pioneer gm-d9500f, and pioneer ts-d1720c speakers which came with 2 subs, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers. Where is the best place to buy an amp kit for it and how do you hook up the speaker amp wires when you have a mono amp hooked up to a subwoofer? I know how to hook up the subwoofer and amp without any problems, but I've never hooked up component speakers before and am a little confused on how to hook up the speaker amp to the back of the HU and to the battery if I already have a subwoofer amp connected to both?

Best place to buy wiring kits

I think I am going to buy this kit for my subwoofer, is there a kit that is close to the same price that comes with RCA's, since this one does not? http://cgi.ebay.com/KnuKonceptz-KCA-1-0-Gauge-Power-Amp-Install-Kit-w-Fuse-/380330435696?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588d75e470#ht_1816wt_1139 Or should I buy this kit and then buy the RCA's separate? and how does this kit look for my wiring for the speakers? http://cgi.ebay.com/KnuKonceptz-KLM-4-Gauge-Amp-Kit-JL-Audio-500-1-/380325513006?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588d2ac72e#ht_4137wt_1139

    Wiring Question

I've never hooked up component speakers before, if there anything besides 16gauge wire and male/female connectors, that I'll need to install my amp, subs, tweeters, and crossovers? Also if anyone knows where I can buy "sail panels" for my tweeters please let me know!

    Wiring Question

I am wiring up a 2011 mazda 3 wiring harness, and I have a wire harness that came with my Pioneer 3200bt and then I have the wire harness that is for my mazda 3, all of the colors matchup, except I am confused by a few things. 1. I have a ground with a metal "C" looking end on the 3200bt wire harness then on my mazda 3 wire harness I have a black wire on it as well that is ground too, what do I need to do with both grounds? I will be using a 12V relay if this helps at all, but still not sure how to hook both grounds up 2. On the 3200bt wire harness I have a wire that says "Reverse Gear Signal Input" but I don't have a purple wire on the mazda harness that goes to it, is this for a backup camera that I would connect to this wire and are all backup camera's universal so they would connect to this? 3. On the 3200bt wire harness I have a blue wire with a white stripe down it that says "System Remote Control, but I don't have a cable on the mazda harness that goes to it, the two blue wires I have on the mazda harness are "Power Ant" and "Turn On" 4. Then the last thing is, I have a is on the 3200bt harness that is yellow with a black stripe that says "Mute" but no wire for it on the mazda harness If anyone can help me with these, that'd be awesome!!

    Wiring Question

I got the HU figured out and now I just need to know if anyone knows where I can get the two plastic pieces for the tweeter mounts for the 2010-11 mazda 3i sedan? I know I can get them through the dealer but I don't like paying 3x the regular amount.

    Wiring Question

Anyone have or know where I can get the plastic pieces where the stock tweeters go for 2010-11 mazda 3, and a stock HU bracket for a 04-09 mazda 3?

    Wiring Question

Sefugi, thanks for the drawing, that is exactly how I have it wired so that is good to know! My problem right now is that I spent the last 4 hours dicking around with the in-dash kit for the mazda 3. I took the stock mounting bracket (not sure if that's the correct name) the medal piece that fits around the stock HU, I took it off and put it on the 3200bt and it fits, but then when I put the in-dash kit on, the in-dash kit is KINDA close maybe .25 or less protruding the top and about 1" protruding at the bottom, so I tried a lot of different thing to try and get it flush with my dash, and nothing seemed to work, but on someones write up they said that they couldn't get there's to work either so they used a mounting bracket off of a 05 mazda 3 I think it was and they cut/bent some of the medal pieces on it and got it to work, so my only idea I can think of is to go to a junk yard and find a 03-09 (i think those are all the same body style) and get one of there mounting brackets anyone by chance know of a better way to do it??? I want to be able to fit the stock HU back in when I sell the car, I don't mind modifying the stock one, but don't want to modify it so much that the stock HU won't fit back in.

    Wiring Question

I got my relay all hooked up and I was thinking about that video on Post #3, The guy hooks up one ground to the top pin and then has another ground spliced to it which he hooks to the left side pin (=2 grounds), so could I hook up the ground from the 3200bt to the top pin and the ground from the mazda harness to the left side pin??
  15. tysonm

    Wiring Question

I haven't had time to play with the relay yet, but tonight or tomorrow I will hopefully have my head unit installed haha so I'll let you know! Then I will hook up my door speakers with the stock wiring until my 16gauge wire gets here which should be sometime next week which I will then have to play around with the crossovers. I would put them in the door but I'm not sure if I have the space to fit them behind the door panel.

    Wiring Question

sefugi thanks for the pic that will help me out tons! So if my speakers are in the front doors and the only place where I think the crossovers will fit that is unseen, would be under the passenger seat, is the best way to run my wiring from the speaker through the front of the door (towards the hood) and through the rubber casing (im assuming it will put the wires somewhere under the glove compartment) and then run it under the carpet or door seal then under the passenger seat?

    Wiring Question

I watched that video last night, but I didn't get a couple of things on it. He has two black wires that he plugs into the top pin and the left side pin, do I just put two black wires into one female connector and plug them into the top pin and then the other black end that is sticking out into the left side pin? The other question is, on the right side pin he plugs in a blue wire, which wire is this?? Also, for the amp on the component speakers, does anyone have any pictures for the steps you need to take to hook up the front component speakers to an aftermarket amp? and what tools will I need, I've never done this before and want to learn how.

    Which speakers for Mazda 3

I just bought a 2011 Mazda 3 sedan and already bought a Pioneer avh-3200bt along with everything that it needs to get hooked up (I hope), haha guess i'll find out when I hook it up. Now I am looking for speakers. My last system had two 6.5" Polk Audio DB651s, and two Infiniti reference 9623i 6x9's which were just powered by the HU and they sounded good to me, but now I want to get speakers that will get very loud and stay crisp. I already have a 12" RD Alpha V.2 sub which will be powered @ 1500rms so bass isn't a concern with the speakers. I know there is lots of different reviews on speakers so I am hoping that I can get some opinions from people off of here that can help me decide which 6.5" would work best for me. I listen to all types of music, but my favorite types of music are metal, alternative, rap, and techno. I am planning on amping my speakers (never done this before) and I don't know if I should just get two speakers and amp them or get 4 and amp all 4. Which would sound better in a sedan? and which speakers do you like the best that are under/around $300, I don't want to be cheap but the more money I have in my pocket at the end the better and that price is just for the speakers not including the amp. Not sure what is a good price on an amp for speakers.

    Which speakers for Mazda 3

I have never used Pioneers amps, do they put out there manufacturer rms wattages, and do there amps have long life? I am asking, because I am interested in buying the Pioneer GM-D9500F. Also, if I buy those Pioneer 720PRS speakers, could I put both the crossovers under one of my seats or are they recommended to be closer to the speakers? Like I said, I haven't ever used components or even heard them before.

    Which speakers for Mazda 3

what amp would be best for the pioneers? Also could these take more than 60rms without distorting or having any other problems? that doesn't seem like a lot for components.

    Which speakers for Mazda 3

Those pioneers are 6.75", I know that 6.5" will work in my door, but will 6.75" still fit in my doors?

    Which speakers for Mazda 3

I was reading some reviews on the Hertz esk and there are some good reviews and some negative ones saying that they "fall apart" at high volumes. I also read that the Pioneer 720prs are very nice solid drivers as well as the alpine type x pro's. Anyone have personal experience with both of these and which did you like better and why? Also where could I buy the speakers from at the cheapest price new?

    Which speakers for Mazda 3

I am not sure between coaxial and component, I haven't ever heard any component systems. I have always wanted to try hertz plus they usually get very good reviews so I wouldn't mind buying some hertz if that is what you guys think will satisfy my ears haha as long as I can turn it up loud and have the speakers still playing crystal clear and being able to hear over a subwoofer then my goal will be accomplished!
