alright i think it is time for a n00b to ask some questions!!! #1 What are the divisions and what do they mean? #2 Are there any in SoCal? more questions to come later.... after answers...

alright so the amp i originaly wanted has been discontinued, i found it but i think i will go with a good company instead. i am now torn between US, and Sundown. it basically comes down to the price and where i can find it. since this is the US Amp section i thought i would ask you guys. whats the price on the US MD-2D? and what are some internet dealers?

Ok. I just looked up the h/u and it is a 2V out put. So I just hook up a dmm and make it be 2V. Also what setting do you use on the dmm?

i was just using those subs as a reference, i would be getting the 1000 and the BL, so if the H/U is a 40 watt pre-out, i just match the amp?

ill probably get yelled at but w/e, so if i buy lets say the SAZ-1500D for one subwoofer, lets say the 12" FI BTL, the gain would mean nothing, i could just leave it alone and not worry about hurting the subwoofer? so basically gain would be used to match another amp to the SAZ?

alright ill look into it. hmm. ok, ive pretty much said "Goodbye" to my budget lol. its an awesome case. its my first build too, im debating on if i should get another Graphics card or new MoBo, i think mine current one might be a little fried in some spots.... 14 gauge will work fine for subwoofers, 8 is over kill but people use it. Really it will come down to personal preference and if you have wiring laying around or how much your willing to spend. ok ill probably go with 12 since it is in between 14 and 8 lol. and for knu, i dont get their checkout. is the quantity the amount of feet?

ohh ok. Well i guess i know what amp i want! oh and i just want to double check on the wiring! heres the Link to Knukonceptz and i need to know what speaker wire, i was told 12 but it seems like i should get 16, please help me clear this up.

but i read that the SAE is made for 12.8 volt systems...

alright so now that im down to Sundown i need to choose the amp! and the contestants are!?!? SAE-1200D, SAZ-1000D, OR SAZ-1500D!!! im not planing on upgrading to a new battery so thats why im adding the SAE, once again my system will be the 12" FI BL

that sound good, problem is i need to wait a while. if i could convince my parents into letting me buy it i will. what have ppl been reporting about its Wattage? i know its 1000 but these types of amps are usually underrated... im doing a shit ton of research so i can buy everything at once at a good price. sry for the double post.

Well the reason is because like you are all saying. They are amazing amps. My buget is about 400 max. I know sundowns run in the 500+ range. Of anyone has anyother amps that are known to be very good the fire away!!!!!!!!!

i dont know if this would be thread jacking or just adding on to the question but which set of ( - ) ( + ) terminals do you use on a mono amp, cause they give two sets... if it is jacking ill delete and start a new one.

yeah, but i mean the kenwood looks perdy lol. and it has dual joy sticks, ill see if they have it. and then push them with amazons price ***EDIT*** Ignore the above, just found a SUPER EPIC stereo: The Alpine iDA-X305!!! i can get it for the same price as the kenwood from amazon!

ok so im going to need to get a new headunit for my car, which stereo is cheap (300>) but allows me to control my Ipod through the stereo its self. ive got one in mind but i want you all to tell me what you think is a good stereo. also i saw that Soundstram has some perdy flip ups that do exactly what i need it to, but im guessing the price is like a grand. anyone got info on their stereos?

When will you be upgrading? So I can be the first to snatch it from you! (maybe) ***EDIT*** i forgot to add that i have looked at the 4000 series by pioneer, but i think i will try checking out alpine. i only have a best buy near my house so ill just see if they have what i want ... does anyone have any knowledge of SoundStreams H/U?

That is what i was hoping for! i had a Kenwood in mind but i think it doesn't have IPOD Controllability. ill give you the link: Kenwood KDC-X993 (kdcx993) - Car Stereo Head Unit In-Dash Receiver - Sonic Electronix i also just found out that the amp i wanted to get was just discontinued, i now have to get the newer model which is $100 more. but if i am going to be spending that much money, i think i will just get the sundown SAZ-1500D. i was going to get the Hifonics BXi 1610D .
