  1. I was just asking anyone to explained the difference between tuning high and low.Lol Y'all can kiss my ass don't try and solve your problem on a forum that for pussy when u see that person that your talking about at the stop light or down your block do it then lol

    1. Read your shit before you post it. Out loud. Cuz god damn Idk half of what you said.

    2. Try to Google things before you ask here, cuz nobody is gonna just blam, give you the answer.

    3. You can do whatever you want with your system, but when you get robbed, get a ticket, or get funny ass looks, just smile because that's what you wanted right?

  2. I bet over half the people in this thread ride around with the windows down with their shit banging.

I dont agree with going through neighborhoods with music loud and I dont, but if you have multiple large subs then your main concern is not clean it sounds inside your vehicle, LOL.

Sometimes this place seems so high and mighty. Cut people some slack sometimes.

OP, anything between 30 and 35 will work with that sub if it has the right airspace.

I have a system for ME. The way he said it...he wants one for other people to hear it....that's dumb. I don't blast music for other people to look at me and think I'm cool. That's douchebaggy. Like the guy in the Camaro who slams on the gas after EVERY stop sign? You can have loud car and enjoy it, but you can be an ass with it too.

  3. I say 28hz and play some decaff music really low stuff. Law enforcement love's bass just remember that :)

X2. Go for broke and tune at 28Hz. Also, once you have your setup up and running conduct some test to make sure you're getting the most from your setup. Drop off a buddy a couple of blocks away and play your setup full blast while alternating opening windows. Your ride will be like a quasi-6th order band pass enclosure. Effing high tech mang. Remember to conduct neighborhood surveys as well. Once you've driven through at full tilt, go back and ask residents how loud was your setup. Have them rate you loudness on a scale of 1- "Yes I could hear it inside my house", 5- " I could feel the bass inside my house" to 10 "Shit was falling off the shelves it was so damn loud!" Remember extra points are given if priceless family heirlooms fall and break. For clarification purposes: No, those stupid "Precious Moments" statues do not qualify as family heirlooms. Remember, be loud, be proud, and thanks for pucking up our hobby areshole! :)

  4. Lol sometimes its not just content to KNOW you got a dope system. You gotta let EVERYBODY know.

But I always assumed that if you were really loud you'd be trying to keep it quiet on the outside....not the other way around

  5. Fi FTW, go with an American sub

Sundown is an American Based Company so his money stays in the good ol' USA!

American HQ ya...but none of their products are made here, money goes to china for them to make the stuff. Sundown is a great company and makes great products just not a fan of china

Eh...as far as Car Audio or everything? Cuz no sub is truly 100% made in the US, and most of the stuff you come into contact with in your daily life probably came from there too lol.

  6. If I'm not mistaken, the 3500d is the same board as the Crunch GP3000dpro. Which we all know was one helva budget amp. Not saying AP is as good or better, but it does have a good board design. Now the parts could differ and cause it to make less power or have more problems.

I do also think RD 3250v2 was the same, and it had tons of problems.

Iirc there was a problem with all the boards and RD was the only one that released them that way. It was RD, AP and some other company that was affected but they didn't let the defective ones out...

  7. I looooooooooooove my AQX-1800d. I'm running it with skimpy 4 gauge on bone stock electrical and as long as I'm driving it stays pretty cool. When I'm sitting and beating on it it gets hot but only then. It looks way better in person and it's pretty heavy.

The AP3000 and Aqx-3500 have different places in the lineup though. The AQX is one ohm stable and better built. The AP is 2 1500 boards strapped so it's only 2 ohm stable and of lesser quality. I'm speaking out of experience. Between my 1800 and my buddies Ap1500 it's clear that they're completely different classes of amps. There's a reason the AQX's cost so much more.

EDIT: Not to say that the AP series is crap lol. That's kinda what I made it sound like.

  8. Fill the trunk up with these dudes.

Stefan, it sounded to me like he was going after the "hoooooooooly shiznit" effect that a ton of drivers gets you.

Sure you could just wall it, but skipping straight to the "most effective" method (quoted because technology and ideas change so fast, there is rarely one technique that is the most effective) but that's not what he wants. I know this is opinion, but an Astro van doin 10's in the quarter mile is a shit ton more impressive than a mustang doin 9's to me. Its more impressive to overcome disadvantages than to just do what works.

Anyway, bigjon, you could always do a 21. They wouldn't know how to feel.

  9. Unless you want them to hire a huge staff which means prices shoot waaaaaaay up, one day a week is fine.

People buy Fi because their product is awesome and they everything they can to help you. With all the business they're getting nowadays they do the best they can. People also forget they they're Ascendant Audio too, so they run two companies out of the same house.

I'm not trying to make excuses for them but if you've ever had or heard a Fi product you'd know why people buy them.
