    Pathetic.

  2. Looks good, nice to have a big 'ole trunk :P

Videos in the coming days?

The big trunk is definitely a plus! That's why I like these big sedans. Once I get my hands on a good camera I will post some. Stuck with an older iPhone at the moment.

nice! Man I wish I had a trunk that big and still got 32mpg.

    Me too!

    Oo-la-la...that thing is nice!

  3. I was looking at the Sundown 125.2 but I don't know just how much it does at 4ohm bridged.

    Rated for 400w.

But if you can get a 4ohm load, you can also achieve a 1ohm load. So why not just simplify life and get a mono amp?

    Here goes my semi-retarded answer.

I've been shopping for a few weeks and the best deals I come across are 2 channel amps. The mono's that I do come across that fit my price range aren't 1 ohm stable and make next to no power (compared to the 2 channels) at 4 ohm. Of course I could just do a AP1500/1800 or a Soundstream Rubicon 1.1600 for cheap power but I'm more interested in the 2 channel for what I might do in the future. It could turn into a front stage amp, I'm not quite sure yet. A mono can only be a mono which is what's driving me away from them.

EDIT: When I mean best deals I mean around 175-200 shipped, whereas a ohe ohm stable mono of the same power range is 230+. This excludes Audiopipe, Soundstream, and some other's I'm sure, but they're just not what I'm looking for.

  4. I will look into Audiopipe.

If I have a two channel and run them at 4 ohms bridged I'll get the most power out of the amp. If I have a 4 channel I'll have to wire each coil to 4 ohms on each channel. That's less cost effective, I checked.

Lol I wasn't clear. I anticipated people saying that I'm wasing money on the sealed box and this amp I wanna buy but It's really only temporary. I didn't mean "fuck a budget" lol.

EDIT: Multiquote gave me a headache. All replies are in order lol

  5. I'm working my Audioque 4x90 to death. I need a big 2 channel to temporarily run my 2 SA-12's. The only thing I come across that really catches my interest are Rockford's. The New P500-2, older P550.2 and T3002 are serious dopeness. I'm not worried about a subsonic because they're sealed for the time being. I don't mind not being able to give them 750-800 per but I do want to give them atleast 250 each. I was looking at the Sundown 125.2 but I don't know just how much it does at 4ohm bridged.

Oh and I'm not worried about the money I'm spending on this amp and spent on the sealed box cuz they'll both go into my gf's car when she gets it. When I do get a mono it'll be somewhere in the 3k range for 4 SA-12's.

    (Rant starts here :peepwall: )

WTF happened to these massive 2 channels? I'm looking at old discontinued Rockford and Hifonics and they have 400x2's, 850x2's and 1kx2's!!! The old Power series 2 channels are 2 ohm stable bridged and some others are even 1ohm stable bridged! I came into the game too late, I would've definitely jumped on those. One of these big Rockford 2 channels has a damn MINI ANL ONBOARD FUSE....I've NEVER seen that ever...I guess they didn't sell, or people figured out how to wire several subs to a single mono. Oh well.

  6. I know there is a straight on view somewhere of the initial renderings made before production, but is a 3/4 view....

    asdfhasdljfhasldjf.png

    And this is the DC........

    8b649691.jpg

    Not very similar.

Please read the post before this.

I said from the picture I first saw it looked similar, but it was a poor quality picture.

Also, only reason I'm trying to say they are similar is because of people saying Crescendo is to cheap. But yet its very similar to DC's amps(there are a lot of DC nuthuggers, who swear DC is the best).

Not trying to say Crescendo copied or anything.

I'm not really a DC Fan, but you say this in like 66% of your posts. Makes you seem mad hater-ish. Someone could just as easily come over here from SMD and say everyone here are SSA nuthuggers or Fi Nuthuggers but duh. This is the SSA FORUM. DC is a sponsor over there so naturally all the DC fans go over there. I'm just sayin...

Anyway, I need a 150x4 dammit! Me likey for my shiz to match....

  7. I wouldn't actually be running 450a through this wire though, seeing as how my alt only gives out 250a...

Yeah but still, you'll blow the fuse like Duran said. And even with copper wire you'd need 2 runs. That AQ has 2 Zero gauge inputs anyway?

    250 x 2 = 500

    500>450

hmmmm. Look like it should work. You're not helping him too much. You way (running copper) isn't the only way to do things.

What? Where are you getting 500 from? What he wants to do is too much for KCA, I'd recommend two runs of KCA or Kolossus Flecks for that? The KCA doesn't carry as much current as Copper, duh. That's all I'm saying geez.

You answered your own question right after you asked it. "two runs of KCA"

and I know that's all you're saying, but that's all you keep saying when the guy keeps saying he doesn't has money for that. You're making it seem like that's his only choice.

Ah, I see. I just wanted to let him know why the KCA was so much cheaper.

  9. Why would KCA be so bad if Knu rates it at 250a and Kolossus is rated at 300a? I'm in this same debate and it's about double the price to run Kolossus. My alt only does 250a so I figure I'd be okay to do my runs of power and ground with KCA since I won't be pushing more than 250a through it?

It's not "bad" wire. It's simply fact that the Kolossus Flecks carries more current than the KCA. The Copper wire will run cooler and carry more current. If you want to run KCA that's fine, just don't push it to it's limits. If you want a sports car, buy a sports car. If you want a gas saver, buy a gas saver. Can't have both.

Well I'm just trying to figure out if I will be okay, I'll be running it to 3 Shuriken BT120's and running a new AQ3500d and AQ4x90 off it, so around 450a of draw at full tilt.

You wanna run a potential 450 amps into a wire with a 250 amp fuse?

Just think about that for a second...

  11. If you didn't do kerffed and inlayed port with just a normal black spraypainted port you would be looking at $210 plus shipping. But again I do not use the cheap trunk liner most use, I use a heavy napped carpet which is three time as much money.

So ~280.....I think I could do that. Would it be a regular slot port or aeroported?

  12. shipping to Waco if the enclosure would be 90 lbs and 38 x 18 x 25 , which is hella huge would be 80 bucks. So you'll be between 50 and 80 for shipping plus packaging.

This is adding up fast. I'll see what I can do.

  13. I kinda almost hate to ask because the work you have posted is BEEAA-utiful, but is there any kind of "basic" deal? I have no problem paying for it it's just that it'll take a while to get the money.

  14. Wow man you're awesome. That's a bit more than I have budgeted but I'll do a lil savings and see what I can make happen. Thanks alot.

EDIT: This is probably a dumb question but do you have a shipping quote to 76708? I know you probably won't be able to get it until you build it but I was just wondering.

  15. Hey, I'm the guy who emailed you about the SA-12 enclosure. I need to be something like...

That. In all reality, exactly like that but with only 2 SA-12's. He has the same vehicle as me.

  16. the blue one from the head unit. I don't think I have seen remote turn ons from the car ever. its from the head unit. The headunit kicks on and turns on the amp not the car.

Lol he's right. No car comes with that. It's the blue wire on the radio harness that says "remote" or somethin like that. You run your own wire to the amp from the back of the H/U

  17. Someone talk me out of buying a prefab sealed box for my SA-12's just to have SOMETHING below 35hz. I can't take staring at the boxes and then going outside and having to play decaf songs with the sub at -7db.... :suicide-santa:

What are these songs you are referring to?

Decaf is the screen name of a guy who mixes music just for us bassheads, I have all his stuff :)

Does it sound good? How can I listen to this music?

Here is how to get his first ZIP file clicky

He's made 23 of them so far, they will definitely make the sub bass perform.

I click the link and it will not let me do anything.

    Here.

  18. every time I have purchased with KNU they always send me a shipping number. I also live in Canada. It also took them 2days to get me a tracking number after it was processed

    so what did you buy?

Did they email it to you? because I didn't get one through paypal and it didn't show on my order status on their site....
