  1. On that note - the Xcon is a very well built sub as are the SA-8s. I do think you might be a bit happier with the SQ from the Xcon but the SA-8s sure do get loud and low for 8s, especially 3 in a ported enclosure.

Seriously? Don't tell me that you are equating size of woofer to LFE. :(

Either way, again it'll be a downgrade both in output and response. There is no replacement for displacement.

But he isn't looking for high numbers on a mic he wants something to fit contours of his trunk in a show can and don't want same sound as his daily driver

  2. I would really like to hear one or buy a 15 to play with

NOOO... you cant just pop up and buy a funky pup.. who do you think you are bro?

you must climb the ladder, you must go on a quest to find the funky pup.. kinda like a lord of the rings but REAL.

Hahaha iv noticed u can't just buy one kuz if someone has one they don't like to let em go

  3. Actually right now they are out of the v.1 recones that fit the old 12 spoke basket would be around a month for them to get parts and about another week or more to build depending on how busy they are but I think they will give a discount on the upgraded subs with the return of your old one

  4. Well idk abot the xcon but the SA-8 have a very good response and hit the lows like crazy I had 4 in 3.4^3 tuned to 34hz did 139.6 at 29hz with 800 watts 4 days after install

The low's won't be anywhere near as good as what the Xcon is capable of.

Yeah brobably but if he don't want the same sound from his daily to his comp car since they will both be musical this would be quite a difference in sound is what I think he's looking for.

But the only real way for you to tell would be to find somewhere to listen to a couple of them to see if they are what ur looking for

  5. 25w X 12h X 15d with a 1.5" port using 3/4 mdf just use this link http://www.reaudio.com/box.php and just put in these dimensions or make your own but the recomendations for the sa-8 are .6-1 cube ft per sub and have a .1 cube displacement and sugested around 35 hrz tuning so go between 1.4-2.2 cubes total hope this helps iv used it for a few boxes iv built for the sa-8's
