  1. Is there anyway to do this without downloading some program?

Of course not; Apple designed it to be as user unfriendly as possible

Ive been saying I can help him do it without a program its pretty easy...

But they did fix that so you wont be able to do that with newer ipods, hopefully your friends ipod nano is old enough and if ur willing to use that program go for it its probably easier

  2. Please, each does things the other doesn't. I have a G1, and an 8GB iTouch thing. I also have an 80GB ipod that lives in my glove compartment attached to my Alpine.

And digital audio over USB will ALWAYS trump analog 3.5mm headphone jacks lol.

No need to hate on other music players just because the Zune does something your ipod doesn't or vice versa.

Besides, none of you smucks would turn down a free ipod/zune if one was offered to you.

True they all have things good about them thats y i never said anything bad about them. I'd take anything free cuz i'd sell it! lol. Its funny cuz i wanted a zune and ended up with a ipod video then i wanted a driod and ended up with the iphone 3gs (was soo close to getting the iphone 4).

Bangin if u dont figure out how to get ur friends songs ill tell u step by step how to take songs from the ipod without a program just let me know.

  3. haha like i said b4 if i was on verizon i would have a droid but im with att. My friend has the driod X and its just huge and pretty much the same as the iphone they have the same apps which isnt even y i have an iphone because i dont use them. i love using itunes for my music and i like how the music is set up on my phone. I never had a problem with this phone like i usually do with every other phone i had so i honestly dont know y the iphone gets hated on so much. apple as a company deserves the hate but they made a great product and always improve on the software wen theres a problem.

  4. haha for real if i was with verizon i would get my hands on that droid 2. Madden thats crazy but i mean constant use do u really play ur music for 5 days straight without charging? Idk ive never had a problem with ipods not letting me do something i dont mind taking a couple hours to hack it and customize it the way i want it and all i c with everything else is theyre barely catching up to the iphone. Ive never had to complain once about my ipod not being able to do something. Its just ridiculous that u have to hack it to get the full fuctionality out of it.

    :suicide-santa:

lol what about what i said? What does someone else have that iphone doesnt?

  6. I miss my Zune :(

My ZuneHD is one of the most impressive MP3 players i have ever seen/used.

Tie that with the Zune Pass ($14.99 a month for unlimited downloads) and your set.

The zuneHD is awesome! The best mp3 player ive had is my iphone3gs but i guess thats not fair haha. It lasts allllll day too thats wat i like most cuz everything else dies in like 4 hours and then once it gets older ull maybe get 2 hours out of it.

  7. i know how...but its a little complicated to explain on here...just search youtube for taking songs from ipod to computer and it will show u how wen u find the right video. Idk about ur new ipod doing it but the old nano should be able to so then the songs will be in your itunes and u will get them. Like someone said b4 it involves plugging in the ipod, going to properties and showing hidden files, copying the files to ur desktop, then to ur itunes file but u need to do it right so u should find the video. Hope that helped.

  8. So your gonna have you sub crossed from 50hz on down on a low pass filter. Then your gonna have your midbass speakers play bandpassed from 60hz-100hz and I guess have some components to play from 120hz on up.

Maybe Im reading this wrong but that seems like these are your goals, correct me if im wrong.

well the sub will be at 60hz at 24db, the 8" midbass at 50hz-100hz and the components at 90hz-100hz. I will need to play around with them a little once installed, so it may not be exactly that, but that is what i am going for.

Am i missing something here or are u not going to have anything playing above 100hz?

  9. I am going for a SQ setup and I am going to be doing this in a Dodge ram crew cab.

My question is, would you put one really good set of components up front and leave the rears stock or would you put a good set of components up front and a good set of coaxials in the rear? The price would be pretty much the same.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should read around at what other ppl have done for SQ but for that kind of set up it only takes one good set of components and no rear speakers at all.

  10. huh, I read your guidelines and in my question on page 4 I stated everything that the guidelines wanted me to, I truly don't know what else you are looking for. I followed the rules from the link on your signature.

Why has it been so hard all this time to help audiophile? I can see that he is giving as much info as he can and he just keeps getting told no one can help him cuz hes not givin enough info, what is missing? Instead of ppl telling him what wont work why dont u tell him what will work. Sounds like he has 150 bucks for each speaker and has enough room for 2-3 speakers with 1cuft each is everyone saying he cant get anything that will make his midbass as loud as the xcon. Then some ppl say the xcon will play that high but if it can then y is it not enough when he crosses over higher.

  11. Ill have to try that. What if it is some kind of mix of butyl and asphalt i read somewhere that it says its a pantented rubberized compound. I wish i wouldve known how to deaden with the right stuff before i covered the whole car floor with it and bought more fatmat lol now i dont want to waste it.

There really isn't any such thing as a mixture - the compounds aren't compatible. "Rubberized Compound" means asphalt 100% of the time. All asphalt roofing materials have rubber added for stability. Since the sellers know that people know that asphalt is crap, they call it rubberized compound because they don't have the balls to call it what it is. It's a despicable ploy to trick people into believing it's something other than what it is. Ought to be illegal. Sorry.

Well thanks for your help don. Im thinking ill just keep it put away until i can get the right stuff for the job but thanks again u probably saved me a lot of time and trouble that it wouldve caused later on :fing34:

    This is from the website.

Fatmat Sound Control has been servicing the sound dampening industry for many years now. When we started we made one product and that was our FatMat Extreme. Slowly throughout the years we added new products to our line. Our goal is and always will be to offer our customers the best products at the best prices possible. Butyl is a very expensive product, and that's why so many others make false claims of offering a true butyl product, and the ones that do have a true butyl product sell it at ridiculous prices. FatMat has finally found a way to offer you a true butyl product and we did this while still making it very cost effective. Our new Mega Mat is thicker and it contains less fillers giving you a true rubberized butyl compound.

  13. Denatured alcohol is my preferred method for surface prep but really any alcohol should do the trick :)

Denatured alcohol is what I recommend as well. Fresh paint shouldn't need any prep. I start with a water based cleaner for really dirty surfaces. An alcohol final waste just removes any residue, oils or grease. As long as the surface is clean, you are good. Something to watch out for if you've done any body work is Bondo dust. Make sure that's cleaned off. The only time CLD Tiles have had adhesive failure was on a car that spent 2 years in a body shop. After he got rid of the dust, everything was fine.

Yeah too bad i already have mega fatmat or watever their "butyl" mat is so i didnt get SDS deadening products. I got it a while ago so guess im stuck with it hopefully it lasts even though everything i read lately says it won't. Its not fresh paint and has been in a shop til today so it will need to be treated wenever i get to doing it.

  14. If you're talking about cleaning the surface before you apply sound deadener... Use Rubbing Alchoal, that's what SDS says. I used it and it worked great for me.

Oh my bad i forgot to put that part. Ok sounds good ill do thats thanks GMC!

  15. I recently primered my chevy nova's hatchback trunk lid with one coat of primer just so it wouldnt have a yellow trunk and primered body. I was wondering how would I prep the underside of the lid with acetone if it removes paint/primer? I hope this isnt a stupid question haha i just couldnt find the answer anywhere else.
