Yea. Its easier that way. Got a plan now though. Made some cuts today... sucks not having a good table saw. So i will be redoing those. Also doing a false floor and box for a buddies Honda Prelude.
More progress tomorrow.

Finally a day off with nice weather scheduled.
So... i will start construction hopefully. Still dont know about ports... but o well. We will figure it out. Lol.

I do plan on sealing it with expanding foam. Not enough room for port facing back.
I would really like to know how my ports will be going in... hopefully aeros will work.

Well i was looking today... and it seems to me that if i take out the plastic paneling around the strut mounts, it wont be much more room. I will post pics tomorrow and start tearing it downnnnn.

I know its a tight fit... the ports on the baffle i drew up... would be MAX 5.5"x12.5". (X2)
I would like to build the wall in the car actually. Let me remove some more trim pieces and see if thar would make it possible. ( the only reason i cant right now is because i wouldnt have room for the still to put it together. Lol.
I have roughly 14 cubes after wall displace memt with double walls. Look at the pic with the rough sletch. Those are my max deminsoons as for being able to put it in the car.
Ill take measurements tomorrow.

Both ports measure out to be 12.5" x 5.5"
I dont design ports.
So im not sure if they will work for what i want. But i really would like removable ports. One at 32hz... and the other for competitions. (Not sure yet as to what that one would need to be tuned to...)
I was also thinking of doing some aero ports and have them come out of the sides of the box into a 90° towards the front if the car and put some beauty panels around them. And opinions are appreciated.
Obvioulsly the wall will not be facing the rear like this. Lol. Jist did that to show how little room there is.
This is a rough draft. (Top view)

I dont have the room to stack the 15"s on top of one-another.
My max dimensions after the false floor, in order to be able to fit the box in the car are...
29.5"high
38"wide
32" deep
I was planning on doing double 3/4" mdf everywhere except the top. Then some dowel rods for more support. Think all that is needed? Or could i just do single 3/4" mdf with dowels? It is only 1200w...
Pics in a few

Well... to barely be able to fit the box into the car...
I can barely fit the subs on a design.
So... how much port do i need?
On the baffle, i will have like (2) 4"x8" (about) spaces for port...
Ill get a pic up tomorro.

I cant just do a big box facing up... not enough area for 4 15s.
Already checked.

That does seem like the easiest way...
I need to measure again.
Hopefully i have enough space to do that.
Keep em comin!

I have no experience with walls, but you could just make a regular square box then fill in the sides with trim panels, just a suggestion.
i was thinking this...
But i think i may need to use more space than the "center square" to get the volume i need.
Thanks bro

not trying to be a discouraging hater but why a wall & all that space, weight & work for just 1200wrms ?
Why not?... iirc, its easier to increase DBs via cone area over wattage.
K thanks bye

now... this is my first wall that i will be doing. and i am not to sure on how to go about starting.
i already have a cardboard mock-up of the false floor...but thats it.
my car has alot of wierd curves etc, so im not sure how to exactly "measure" my deminsions.
so how would i get a volume?
i will need someone to design 2 ports for me as well.
basically, how do i start? any info is appreiciated.
its 4 DCON 15"s off of a sax1200
here is some pics of the rear. its going BEHIND the 2nd row of seats.

Lol thanks danny. I wasnt planning on slaping them on there and calling it a day. Lol.
Shag, thats pretty much what i was thinking.
take a picture of the whole area? like the whole center console.. I am curious if yours is similar to my Camry
Heres a pic of the radio area. only thing u cant see is the ashtray which is below the radio pocket...
and no, i cant put them there as it would cover the trim piece to remove the radio.
i will probly do what shag said if no other light bulbs come on.
.......
.....
.....
the gang's all here!
i am making a new thread with questions about the wall... link in a bit
