Lol@ Chuck!!
Ways to waste a day at Slamology 101
@cableguy- nothing was wrong with the sub, it's only 1 of 4 in the US from Russia. The motors were sold so it was gonna be easier to ship just motor rather than whole sub. So why not have some fun
@Shizzzon ... Yeah Jamy has the battery from up front, picked it up at a local business who had your car still. Battery's still holding a charge

I should make a new topic on how to remove the front battery out of a scion tc after its involved in an accident

110 volts to each coil
The surround was probably 150 degrees when I first cut it open! I let it sit for a couple hours and it was still to hot to pull it out of the wooden cradle

Dustcap got so hot it melted...

Slow process... Lots of other boxes going out at the same time. Little time to work on my own projects

When I had the coils wired as one, it continuously popped the 30 amp breaker. I just stood by the box and kept resetting it for about 5 minutes. After that I said F it and wired up each coil to a seperate 30amp breaker

Was a 30amp breaker on each coil

Not sure what the subs are getting built into now, with the right parts they will be undestructable though. That 4" coil that was in it took some abuse

Theres another video on my youtube channel of me doing some testing with it when I first got it... Ended up getting a 148 sealed on music with a single 12

Actually the motor was being sold as just that, just a motor. So Figured I'd have a little fun with it before it was shipped off. Plus easier to ship with just the motor and not basket anyways

Yes Nem, that was the Neo sub I had in the back of the truck.

Put the Neo on a Wall Socket a couple days ago. Took it like a champ! 110volts per coil
0 -
Yeah it took it for a decent amount of time, especially for having 110 to each coil

Hooked the RedStar Neo up to 110volts on each coil and let her go.... Good times!!
