Sending a message down from the Great White North, Will freezing temperatures ruin/damage subwoofers or amplifiers? Its gets pretty damn cold up here and if need be ill bring them in for the winter.

Crescendo also makes some great amplifiers, And as far as box sizes go, lok at the Fi Technical section it will give you all the information you need

Alright i get it then.. Damn i didnt think id be doing so much damn work only 10 days after i built my first box. ;D

Well yes, if i was going to add on 6" to the outside i would take off 6" from the inside. So as long as the length of my port is the same, it doesnt matter for far in or our it is from the box?

So now how would i compensate for something like that?.. Im not really sure how i would build the vent like that and keep the tuning i desire..

Alright, so only 10 days after i built my first box iv decided that its no good an i need to build a new one. Currently i have my box only 5.5 cubes for my 18" BTL.. with it only being powered by 1500 watts this isnt the most efficient setup. For my new box, i was going to build it closer to 7.5 cubes, sub up, port up. Now what i wanted to do was have the port 5-6 inches out of the box so that i could flush mount it to the rear deck, then seal the whole thing off from the trunk.
The box designer says for 32hz my port will be 28.75" long, 8.5" wide and 13.5" tall. Now could i simply 'slide' the port out 5-6 inches or would that effect the tuning?
Sorry if thats a bit confusing..

See thats my problem... Im only running an AB 100.1 to begin with.. and like no electrical upgrades.. Im deffinatly going to be building a box as close to 8 cubes as i can get ASAP,

UPDATE: Going to try to get car metered at a local shop sometime soon, then based on what number i get i may be building a new box very soon... 5.5 cubes doesnt seem efficient enough for how much power im putting to it, i want more output.. i may just be thinking that the BTL can do much more then it really can do.. Not sure though. Will be posting the meter numbers as soon as i get them done

Ok. so the first 2 days with my BTL in the car i had no back seats in. I was extremely impressed how accurate the sub sounded, hitting hard everytime the bass note changed. Im actually suprised how often this happens, listening to my old woofers it mostly sounded like 1 long tone. Anyways, other than that. It didnt really sound that much louder than my previous setup, it hit lots harder, but didnt seem as loud. This morning, i put the rear seats in my car, and holy hell. This thing is an absolute monster. :dancing:

So, iv finally got my subwoofer enclosure finished, and set up in my trunk. After listening to it for a while it was surprisingly accurate, id say even more accurate than my Type X's which are actually supposed to be SQ drivers.
Overall super impressed, and obviously it gets nice and loud.

Alright, everything is in, and its leaking on the 'port side' outer wall, its at the back and was almost impossible to get screws into. I tried gluing it the best i could but theres a section in the center of it thats leaking. Because its in the port side im pretty lucky, later today ill use some silicone and put a bead on both the inside and outside seam and then hopefully everything will be ok.
(Leaking side, put some wood glue for now, silicone later)
And a few pictures of my amps. (Dont slam me for my cap i know its useless)
