  1. Alright, well i told a friend that i would help him out with getting some subs in his car. He really isnt into getting loud, he just wants a little extra. So i told him like a smaller sized sub, like an 8" or 10" would be good. He doesnt want to spend too much on this setup so i was wondering if you guys could help me out with some subwoofers that might be a good choice. Probably close to around $200. Ill buy used if i need to, just need some help on what some good options would be.

  2. Alright, so the reason why i didnt put this in the for sale section is because im just seeing how much interested it would actually get, i have a second one laying around but i dont want to part with it if im not getting the right price i guess. So either send me a PM or post on the thread and if anyone is really interested in buying this amp then we might make a deal. :)

  3. Ok, so iv rewired my RCA's for the first time (fun stuff) and it has seemed to fix the problem.. Ill only truly know if it fixed it once i go driving back and forth from college for a couple of days. If it hasn't worked.... Then ill try to bend the RCA inputs on the amp like Alton suggested. If it keeps doing it... looks like its time to fix my amp.. I really dont want to replace it at the moment because of my funds, and iv heard very good things about it. So i might as well try and fix it.

  4. After talking to a few people with different opinions, i wanted to see as a whole where people stand on this topic. This will be my first real build and i really want it to be the best it can be. Ill be running an Fi BTL N2 18 and i wanted to know which option will suit this build better.

  5. Ok... so iv just tried to calculate the internal volume of my box again. And... the numbers seem all messed up. Im getting a volume of like... 9 cubic feet? Idk.... Can somebody check my work and see if i did it right or wrong... Because id like to keep the size aero ports that Audibel suggested.

    If i did mess up could somebody post correct dimensions to get 7 cubic feet internal volume. Keep in mind the ports will be probably about 4 - 5 inches out of the box so only about 10-11 inches of port will be inside, per aero.

  6. Alright, so since i have nothing but time on my hands i was looking around at the IASCA rule book, and im considering i might be competing after my nice long Canadian winter. Id be in the Rookie 2 section. (Single Fi BTL 18 N2). Now, i saw a rule that all subwoofer enclosures / ports need to be in the cargo area. My original plan was to have my two 6" Aero ports going through the 6x9 slots in my rear deck. So heres my solution. Since aero ports are lovely and are able to be removed, i was thinking of making much shorter, like 5" in length aero ports for competitions. Giving me like a 45 hz tune or something.

    Geez thinking about competitions when i havent even installed it for daily yet.

  7. Ok now so iv tried to calculate the internal volume and it seems that its bigger than i thought, im guessing that takes into account the displacement of the aero. So now because my port is going to partway out of the box, how will i take that into consideration while calculating? Or will the difference not really matter?

  8. Ok, so i figured it out i think.. This is my box design i came up with myself.. so if its totally wrong just tell me but i think im pretty close.

    So because of the lack of space in a trunk, I was thinking going with 7 cubic feet of box area.

    Height = 18"

    Depth = 30.5"

    Width = 31"

    Ill have two 6" Aeroports, each 10.5" long to give me a total 21" of port length which should give me a 32hz tune? (I used the psp calculator, hopefully i did it right)

    What do you guys think? Isnt complete with bracing ideas yet but its a rough idea what ill need to do.
